Ha ha just read the thread, how weird.....I was a TA for 14 years, loved my job...was diagnosed in december 2011 with breast cancer which in early 2012 was confirmed to have spread to liver and bones. Had course of docetaxol which through my grocian line gave me sepsis and pneumonia and landed me up on intensive care luckily I recovered from it and am now doing very well on herceptin and zometa. But on recommendation from my doctor was told, of course you will want to do the things you really want to do,so went down the route of retirement through ill health, which I think I followed thinking that the doctor was saying you really have not got long to live. But I now realise no one knows how long we all have but I'm glad I took this route because I can do all the things I want to do ....I go into school and help when I want to which gives me the normal and I can see my children and grand children too but very important I can do things for me ..I've taken up my art again ...I walk and love being a lady that lunches lol ..good luck to all us ladies Jo xxx
