No Sproodle things have got worse since stopping rx. But I also have had total hysterectomy plus ovaries removed and prior to bc was on hrt. Had to stop hrt on diagnosis, so very sudden drop in oestrogen levels. I recently tried reducing vagifem to weekly with a view to having a break, but have had cystitis again and sex more painful so not sure that I want a 3month break. Gp has put it "on repeat" until Dec by which time I will have been using it for a year.

Thanks Sproodle. I am 6yrs post diagnosis and not taking anything now and discharged from clinic, onc etc. I was also oestrogen positive so will be interested to hear what your oncologist says re safety of Vagifem.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post on. Does anyone have up to date info re Ovestin cream or Vagifem? Saw GP with painful sex, repeat bladder infections, atrophic vaginitis. Have previously tried numerous lubricants including Yes. GP said it was now considered ok to use local hrt following bc, but I can't find any evidence. Also has advice to have 4wks break every 3 months been removed? It's not something that's going to go away for ever!

just back from clinic - apparently what i could feel was normal lumpy breast tissue. Mammogramm no changes fron last year

Sorry to hear. The waiting is worst. I have been backwards and forwards numerous times but once was cancer and tho its horrid you can do it. At the moment I am waiting to have another lump assessed.

Just found thread. I had WLE and 16x rads 2009. No rib pain initially but now get a "kick" in ribs on affected side if twist or slouch on sofa. Not told anyone but am waiting for clinic appointment as have found another lump so will mention then. Hate waiting - no date yet

I did ok yesterday - went shopping!! But found evening supper at friends difficult as i didn't want to spool the evening by saying anything. Infact i have not told any one else about this scare.
Today on my own as OH at work and struggling with anxiety. Keep thinking that if it is cancer i will need chemo as lump is in same breast and radiotherapy obviously didn't work and all our plans for the next six months at least will be affected.

Had WLE and rads in 2009, on Tamoxifen. Found new lump on same breast last night, just seen GP. To be referred back to one stop clinic. Dont want to go through all this again especially all the waiting. Rather scared. No, very frightened!!!

Sorry to hear you are going through this all again. I was diagnosed in 2009 (already post-men) and had problems after finishing treatment with depression. I am a christian and your book really helped me. I have been on tamoxifen since and it has not been easy, but side effects have improved with time.
However, last summer I did decide to take early retirement so have more time to pace myself etc.
