Yes I'm a firm believer in the stress theory, but when I've discussed it with the doctors and BC nurses they have said it was irrelevent. I have Spanish, German & Italian friends who have all told me that in their countries stress is believed to be a contributory factor.
Perhaps we could do a survey on here to determine how many people were experiencing stress before diagnosis. I've got my hand up so that's one.
Don't talk to me about weight loss ... I had spent a year on the Rosie Connelly programme and at the time of diagnosis was a lean mean machine - so lean in fact that I had to have tissue expanders for my bi recon.
Now .... got enough flab around my stomach for a pair of double js!!!! Am still blaming chemo & steroids but wonder how long that argument will hold water, particularly as I don't seem to be able to stop myself scoffing chocs, nibbling twiglets and downing the vino collapso!
