Just thought I would add an update. It's now well over 2 years since i started to take the Arimidex tablets. They were changed quite quickly to the generic version Anastrozole. I have been having a lot of problems re: side effects. Six weeks ago I had an op for cartilldge problems in my right knee. My GP now thinks thaty most of my se's are related to the Anastrozole tablets. I now have Arthritis in both knees, and get constant pain in a lot of my joints. I also get pain in my hands and feet, as well as my legs, I am now getting pain in my elbow. Today I have been for a follow up app related to my cartillidge op, the specialist says that I have Arthritis in my knees and may eventually require new knee replacements, though not at present. I am due to see my onc next week and my GP wants me to see if I can get some different tablets as she now believes that my problems are because of the se's of the Anastrozole tablets, it's took nearly 2 years for her to believe that my pain really does exist! Hello, I'm another one of the 18 ladies who have been together now for the last 2 years, since my dx of breast cancer. These people have become very special friends to me and have helped me through to where I am today. I have had big changes since we all got together and I speak to all of my special friends on a daily basis, we support eachother in a way that noone else can. We all know what we have been through and we have often shared problems with eachother in a way that we could not share even with our nearest and dearest. We have met up now on several occasions, the last of which was the best hen party I could ever have wished for!!! I recently got married as Maria mentioned, this is something I could never have imagined when I and my husband had the news of my bc 2years ago, how much life has moved on since that day. Hello Dee, Many thanks for your true frienship during the last 12 months. It's great to have made such great friends at a time when we can understand eachother better than any other friends we may have at home. I to have had good news today with good results coming from my first mamograme since dx this time last year. What a difference a year makes. Best wishes to all the new arrivals on this site. Hello Ladies, I've been on Citalopram 20mg for 10 months now. At first it took me a few weeks to get used to them, they made me feel a bit flat and without emotion, not happy and not sad, just a bit odd. Hello ladies, I'm pleased to hear Vickie got on her hols. We are going to Paris for 8 days on the 6th June, hope the ash cloud is gone by then! Maria, I've been working lots latley and my boss rang me today to do more work before and after my hols. Never mind it will pay for the next one! I'm hoping to go away about October for a girls week maybe a last minute cheapy cruise or something, ( don't know about calling us girls, bit long in the tooth for that!) any excuse for a holiday. Most of the lambing is finished now , just a few stragglers, and a few cows left to calve. We got a new bull on Saturday his name is Elvis!!!He had that name when we bought him, he's a loverly big boy and is now in a field full of girlfriends...enjoying himself.
