Hi, I am exactly like you, young diagnosis (second time for me) mastectomy, oopherectomy tamoxifen now anastrozole. I think the Sid effects are much the same, joints are stiffer but flushes are better so it balances out. I did a straight swap, no breaks and mall was fine. Good luck! ... View more

Well it's not far from Wem, village is called Clive. There is a request stop at Yorton which is at the tip of my village or if you went into Wem Val (Horace) lives there and I'm sure would bring you in as its too far to walk from Wem and taxis are non existent here in the stix! Hello f1, youre just like me, I was 36 then 41 but am now on anastrazole, what joy?! Anyhow ladies, awfully quiet on this thread so I think I'd better chivvy along another meet! We can either do town centre ( Shrewsbury fits most of us I think?) or I'm more than apply to have you all to me again in April if you fancy it? If its me then it needs to be an evening in the week, if its town then either we do Saturday lunch or again, an evening. It really wouldn't be putting me out to have you all here you know so don't let that factor in your equation. Hello All. Ayone heard from Della? She had mx on Friday? Della, if you're online at all, let us know how it went, how you are and can you pm me with your mobile number. I have sent best wishes through joe via Nev so hope you got them! Ladies, any thoughts about meeting up in March? Just a thought but I am happy to host again if someone shares the cooking? I know it's a bit of a trek for some but it was lovely not to be rushed through a meal and to know I wasn't eating horse!! Otherwise, I am happy with the Armoury for a lunch on a Saturday or Sunday so at least we can justify the journey by doing a little retail therapy? Got my onc appointment on wed, really feeling anxious about things lately and would live them to offer me a test to check everything's ok, they don't even do a blood test though I read these are common elsewhere, coupled with scans. Rach, sit back, have a rest and if you feel able it would be fab to see you. As you know I broke my ankle 3 weeks after my hysterectomy from tazzing about with the kids so really wish id followed your lead! 30th looks like a goer then, can I just ask would you all be able to do the 29th instead at all? Thats a Tuesday? Maybe then Sue could make it and as you know Im freelancing at the moment and have a trial at Hereford on 31st Jan so really should prep it the night before? Sorry not been on but Xmas and flu combined to keep me away! good news about hysterectomy Rach, mine was last Jan and my doc said I was ok to drive after two weeks, see how you go but after a week of soreness it was really ok. Hope you've all had good Xmas? So let's meet up at mine? I'm expecting the usual crew, tiger pig, Della Rach ( if up to it), Di,Val, sailing mungo , etc etc i have capacity for all the usually and a couple of newbies? Great news Rach, hysterectomy is a doddle after what weve been through so good luck! Della so so news, give with one hand (lump size) take with the other (crap!!) but as long as its evening out overall, thats the key. I am free for the whole of January, all evenings and weekends so far, I would suggest we target a time so everyone can put it in their diaries and build other committments around it. I only thought evening because we tend to rush during the day because weve all got other places to be but an evening after kids have gone to bed, might encourage a less rushed catch up.? Oh bloody hell!!!! Della, let us know how your latest tests go, I'm sure it's all good, you looked well when I last saw you even on chemo so fingers crossed. Rach let us know what doc says about your ovaries? If its any consolation, when I had mine out she couldn't do it vaginally as I had a cyst on one of them that was so big she couldn't pull it through keyhole, but that was completely harmless. I know with your family history you are going to worry but try and think positive thoughts. Re meet up, I would say go for January it's going to be the easier option with all the Christmas stuff going on, that said, I am fairly free for any other weekend in December if everyone else can muster up the time? have we discounted an evening meet?
