Its been a year in May for me since my lumpectomy.I had 15 rounds of rads no chemo and I had my breast checked in jan as I was concerned too I have orange peel skin just to the side of my nipple and it is a side effect of rads..but get it checked for peace of mind

Hi ladies
I finished treatment in August and boob was settling down then about 5/6 weeks ago it started to feel very hot .. red.. and swollen.I saw bn she said it was ok and was after effect of rads.So I carried on for a couple more weeks and cutting a very long story short after another bn check..my own gp..a visit to A & E after waking up to find my boob was huge and burning hot..a wrong diagnosis of celulitus..a course of antibiotics...I finally had a quick app with my surgeon who bless her had all the time in the world for me.I had an ultra sound and I have developed a seroma along my scar line which was infected so strong boticks sorted out the hotness..I have to go back in a couple of weeks and see what she will do if anything.It was so great to have peace of mind and to know nothing nasty was going on ..I j ust wish I would have known sooner and not had all those weeks of worry..I was convinced my cancer was back....these journey's are awful arn't they...

HELLOOOOO ladies
I just had to pop back into the woods to share my latest story with you.
Cutting it a bit short..After about 5 weeks of not being happy with my boob ..2 breast nurse checks and my own gp I ended up at A & E last Sunday as my boob had swollen sooo much it was burning hot and very red.Anyway I get a qucik app with surgeaon on tues..had an ultrasound and I have developed a small seroma along my scar line which is infected..so have been on strong boticks since and has gone down a lot.
Anyway Im going on a bit now..the moral of the story is our A & E has been newly decorated and you could have blown me down with a feather..the 20 ish foot wall has been covered in a murial of woods it was beautiful...I sat on a chair by it and touched it with crossed fingers had a lil wish that nothing nasty was going on with me....Well I guess you we're all with me that day 🙂
I love it here its nice to come back and chat to all you wonderful ladies..Im off to the land of NED now to get my Christmas head on!!

Ok its all changed..had a phone call from hospital asking how I was and if I would like to see breast surgeon..that was Fri ..I had an 8.30 app yesterday..and I had a scan on my boob and its a seroma along my scar line which is infected.I was so impressed I was able to have this quick app..so she said it should all settle down to keep with the boticks assured me nothing nasty was going on and wants to check it in a months time....Just wanted to let you all know..

Hi everyone
I was a neurotic mess this morning as I woke to discover that my hot boob swolleness had spread to the side ..So I really wanted someone to have a look so 3 hours in A and E was worth every minute... definatley celulitus and after rad effects and have been given stronger boticks ..hopefully I should see a difference by Tuesday...lets hope I do...AND BREATHE...........

thanks Tracy your so right....Well I think my boob is getting hotter by the minute now and is feeling very sore... I am thinking of just going to A and E in the morning and hopefully get something rolling ..staying positive..will let you all know.

I was dx in May had WLE/SNB .. tumor 8mm nodes clear and had 15 rounds of rads.Finished treatment in August and boob was settling down.About 4 weeks ago it started to get hot red and swollen I saw my breast nurse and she said it was after effects of radiotherapy.Last week I phoned breast nurse as I thought it was getting worse..they were very busy and said it would be difficult to see me today...I explained my symptoms and she said it sounded very much like celulitus and to go to my gp for antibiotics.I saw my gp the same day and straight away she said it was celulitus and if no better in 7 days to go back and we could try some other medication.My breast nurse phoned yesterday appologising for not seeing me on monday and asked how it was going..I said I didnt think these antibiotics were doing much so she offered me a quick app to see surgeon next week sometime..well obviouslty I jumped at that.. but now Im thinking the worst and all those anxious feelings are back and Im thinking I have IBC and all sorts .. I have been very naughty and had a Google and celulitus symptoms are the same as IBC ...*SCARED

Had an awful nights sleep in Tam Towers I think all the bloomin fans have broken..the duvet was very busy at 2am dancing away...I feel totally exhausted now:( lf anyone could spare a sleep fairy for me tonight I would be very gratful.A busy day ahead too.. typical...Does anyone know how to call maintenace into the woods to check out those fans please let me know !!

What a lovely night in the JM ..if you dont mind me saying my carol practise went down quite well..do ya think? River dance hmm I need to practise that one Kaytee...I think we all enjoyed 'Im dreaming of no achy joints at Christmas' Iv'e never sang so much in years.Im a bit gutted the twiglets have gone though 😞 Off to feed my face later in the land of NED as my sister in law is 50 today...25 of my family nutters all together.Will pop back later and check on you all:)
