Hello all and hugs to all our down bunnies. Now working 5 hours a day 5 days a week and finding it tiring but ok. Sorry to hear so many of you are down. Sending you hugs. As I had large boobs I had enough left to shift around to make up the gap and had a reduction on the other boob at the same time. Not sure I would have coped with more surgery but my surgeon said there was no rush if I wanted to wait. My scars are still sore at times and the radiotherapy shrunk my bc boob a bit so it makes the reduction one look a little larger still. Plus the tissue in the bc boob came from my side muscles so it has taken time to stretch. Has been like wearing a tight bandage all the time. We're all different and I think that's a good thing. Hello Bunnies!! Just popping into say hello and wish MarGie a good relaxing break. Big M - sorry to hear you've got more surgery ahead. If you need a helping paw or even just a friendly face let me know. Talking about shaving I haven't had any guidance about what to do or not do. As the hair had come back in my arm pits had to take the plunge and just used a Venus shaver with no water or soap and ran the shaver in the direction of the growth. Came off very easily with no mishaps. Another milestone reached Lol! Work is going well which has been a big surprise. You all know I was nervous but obviously Hilary's spa course worked on my bosses and they are being very different to previously. My stress levels are right down and I'm actually enjoying working my brain again. It won't be like before but so far so good. Finally would definitely be up for a meet up in March or April. Would be good to see how far we've come since Pixie started the thread!!! Am off this weekend to spend some time with my daughter at university in Reading. Good news about all the positive results recently and hugs to those waiting for test results etc. Sarah & Big M, look out for DMs! Jill - I expect you still have lovely cheekbones! Well done on getting some contract work and for looking after toddler. Don't blame you for a pj day - am having one of those myself today. Work has been busy this week and I also went grocery shopping yesterday as well as walking the dogs. Think I overdid it slightly, but wanted to try and see how far I could push myself. Southpool - I too have a slightly downy face now as my sideburns (not a la Bradley Wiggins) are coming back. It's part of the SEs from Tamoxifan. TBH, not too worried about it at this stage but will chat to my beauty consultant when I go and have my eyebrows done again in a couple of weeks! Hilary - Glad the chest infection is okay and am sure flirty dog will be more like herself in a couple of days. Thanks for the update on the Spa - still my favourite place to go when I'm feeling tired! Pixie - hope the new bed was comfy! Everyone else - it's lovely to hear that we are all starting to move on after our treatment. My bc anniversary comes in February but am approaching Xmas this year (and my birthday in December) with relief. Hello bunnies! First day back at the office and so far so good. Felt shattered afterwards but managed the time in the office okay so fingers crossed. Sarah - take the time you need to rest. I stayed off for longer because I didn't feel I could cope. Still got brain freeze but getting there. Wendy - didn't itch during the rads but back on the anti-histamines. Now got a fetching red rash as well under the arm so might need to call the doctor again. Hope the other boob is okay too... try not to worry. Hyzenthlay - I missed my eyebrows more than my eyelashes. Lost one completely and one partially so looked surprised most of the time. The good news is that they came back pretty quickly though - a month or so at worst. Have now got plenty of hair on my bonce too and now strolling about without the wig! It will be okay by Xmas... lol!! Hilary - fond memories of the spa and the idea of a warmed up winter version is just as lovely. Keep the punkawallahs warm! Keep yourself well too. Pixie - can see that you are taking the dolls house very seriously. We did one for my daughter when she was very little and we ended up decorating more than once over the years. She was lucky enough to have two - the other one was made by my dad for her (now passed away) and has lights and a garage. Something she will keep forever and pass on to her kids I expect. Re. the dog blanket squares - would be happy to help out with the stitching if you need me. Paul O'Grady can be found via Battersea Dogs and Cats Home as he's now an ambassador for the home and they always need blankets. The Twins must have watched his dogs programme shown a few weeks ago. Again, if you wanted I'd be happy to take the finished articles to the home if you want. I have to say I started a blanket before my op with the intention of doing it while convalescing. Hello bunnies! Pixie, hope all goes okay with the MRI today and Nat, Christine and Vanns - all of you in my thoughts today. MarGie - pirate granny - try not to over do it either. Southpool - if you do the Richmond Park walk, would be delighted to join you. Am already committed to the Marsden March (just the 5km part) in March but any exercise is going to be good! Lee - you mentioned about bra sizes. Have had to buy a new bra but still can't find the right size. My surgeon said she'd made me into a 40C but on trying one on in that size it was way too big. Am probably going to have to go to M&S to be fitted up. Also skin issues.... under my left arm where my lymph nodes were taken from I have developed a very very itchy rash. To the point where I am nearly ripping my skin to pieces especially by the end of the day. Am about to take some anti-histamines to see if that helps at all. And I need to find a decent soothing lotion - any suggestions anyone? Am starting to make in roads into the dog training business and hoping to be doing it full time next year. Back to work on Monday for 3 hours a day - having had a good meeting with one of the bosses, the other one has now decided to move the goal posts again but frankly, I'm not going to stress about it. I might even go in and bang their heads together! That's it for now. Got a puppy social walk tomorrow morning which I'm looking forward to. Hope they settle in well. Lee - if you need any help with setting up a website or publicising your jewellery business, let me know. I'm not a professional business coach but having set my own business up I might be able to help. Try and get to some of the local markets for stalls too, a friend of mine has set up a doggie bakery (gourmet dog treats) this year and has had a lot of success. I'm sure you'll be brilliant. And I love a nice bit of jewellery myself! Christine and Vanns - big hugs to you two today just because you're fantastic! Big M - will be DMing you to meet up again soon.
