Hi mermaidoo7   Thanks for reply.     I did speak to onc but she turned her nose up and brushed my question aside.  It's frustrating really as if this Ibrance works and prolongs life then shouldn't our oncologists talk about it and maybe look into it if they haven't come across it before?     Would love to know if anyone out there is on it and or it's here in UK?    Best wishes  Danigirl    ... Dear Jane thank you for your lovely post and it has been very amiss of me as I've been neglecting to check posts on this site... i mainly use our Marvellous Marchies Face book page but I gather you don't use it? My final touches surgery wise will be sometime early Spring as I was told it would have to be at least 6 months after my last radiotherapy treatment before they would consider "tweaking". My anniversary mammogram is around 9th February however I don't have an appointment yet - I'm sure I'll get a letsoon in theNew Year about it. I do have an appointment to see my radiologist on 3rd Jan and hopefully he will tell me the reconstructed breast is ok.. We're spending Christmas Day with my sister and her fiancée and I must say it will be the first Christmas that I haven't had to cook a thing.. WS - What a lovely post! I start RADS tomorrow. In reply to your question re swollen arm and redness like sunburn, I can say I haven't experienced this at all.... Your surgeon should give you appropriate diagnosis and treatment for your poorly arm. Joan - I think I can only meet on Saturday during the day. Hope this is Ok. Evening ladies, RADS planning went ok and feel like this journey is never ending. I officially start RADS on 22 October which means I will be in the middle of my treatment when we meet up in Novenber. Jane - my appetite has improved slightly but not much... I have a Sat Nav that does my thinking for me. Carabel - Glad you had a lovely holiday. I feel constantly in need of one. Hello Marchies Joan - my mapping is tomorrow and as far as I know the RADS will start couple of weeks after. Will possibly mean I will be finished just in time before our Big Meet! Have a super time in Cyprus! We went out for dinner at Jamie's Italian in Birmingham and although the food is amazing there I couldn't eat most of my food and noticed in the last few mornings not wanting breakfast even though I have always been a keen cereal and toast eater. Just wondered if anyone else on Tamoxifen is experiencing loss of appetite? Just never seem to be hungry. Hi everyone Have been off the radar but have been reading some of your posts. I just wanted to give you an update and let you know I finally have a date for my RADS mapping. It will be next Monday 8th, 3.30 at Walsgrave in Coventry. Then it will be another couple of weeks before treatment actually starts... My third week on Tamoxifen and only thing I have noticed is the mild pain in my finger joints? My next appointment with my surgeon is 25th October and I will be asking about Phase 2 of my surgery ie nipple recon and lipofil. Feel like "Frankinstein's bride" and just want to get back to being me again. Hope everyone is coping and look forward to our meeting in November. love to all Dani XX ... View more
