Big M BIG WAVE to you - glad to see you back in the warren. I am going to send you a pm. Sorry to hear that you are still having bother with the fluid on your back - what a nightmare hope they get it sorted soon.
GMT I am with you when it comes to hair. I have got bl...............dy curls! I have always had straight hair - no wave at all and now I have got curls - what next! Hoping once the hair is longer it will straighten itself out.
Calyco - welcome to the Warren. I am not on Herceptin but I am sure the other bunnies who are also on it will give you feed back. This forum has been a life line for all of us and I hope you will find this too.
Hugs & kisses to all those not mentioned.
Love you all

First big hugs to all those bunnies feeling extremely down so BigM, Sara12 and Ambarose pop over to the spa for a good dose of sunshine and lots of TLC. Libby12 step away from Google and I hope your Onc will be able to put your mind at rest.
I have decided on no more operations for me on boobs. My next appointment with the surgeon is next June when he will discuss reconstruction with me ie. reduce the good boob so it is the same as the affected boob. Affected boob is too badly damaged to do anything with. I DONT THINK SO! - he is not getting his hands on what I have got left. Once my bra is on unless you stare at my chest you can hardly see any difference. It is a lot more obvious when I wear the sports bra but always cover myself with jacket or body warmer. I am still sore & uncomfortable so those who are considering reconstruction you are very very brave ladies and fully understand why you are considering this step. Must admit having trouble looking at myself in the mirror these days but I will just have to get over it!
Pixie congrats on getting to the £8,000 but please be kind to yourself and rest. Take up Namar82's kind offer to help you. Southpool have a wonderful time in Wales.
GMT absolute pants re your ONC appointment. It is bad enough having to go through this ....... without getting ineffectual professional help. Fingers and everything crossed you have a good one next appointment.
Christmas tree is up here in the Spa and even though I say it myself looks pretty good. Looks very pretty when the log fire is glowing and the candles are lit. My sister posted on Face Book a video of carol singers surprising shoppers in a shopping mall in America/Canada somewhere. Found myself in tears - have not cried for many many months. I don't cry very easily at all it takes a lot to upset me so perhaps we are all dealing with some form of post traumatic stress syndrome after the year we have all had.
So come and join me in the Spa for masses of hot chocolate, mulled wine & lots of goodies whilst sitting in front of the log fire but no singing of christmas carols unless you have a large box of tissues with you!
Have a good Monday Bunnies.
Hugs & kisses

Margietee googled Tilda Swinton as I have got to admit Bunnies I am rubbish at which actor is etc. Anyway looked at the images of Tilda Swinton and recognised her but had a good fit of the giggles as one of the pics shows the hair on the side of her neck as the sun is behind her - thought yep there is the Angora hair - that will do fine.
Southpool - Have a lovely lunch with libby and have a marvellous week in Harlech - enjoy & relax.
Vanns have a wonderful marvellous holiday. Just relax and enjoy every minute of it - you derserve it as does your OH. Re Kylie wicked idea - love it. Infact would love her to be me as she would look wonderful in a Khaftan, is blonde (as some thought I was), she is a lot of fun and would certainly keep us entertained and up beat. Plus her dance troupe could be the rest of the punkawallah. Plus she would have no problem dragging along Elton, El Divo etc. etc.
Hugs & kisses to ALL BUNNIES

Thinking of you today Chrisp1e - hoping that it is just scar tissue. Glad rads are going okay Gadget Gal. BigM - huge wave & hug to you. Southpool glad to hear that the Physc session was beneficial. Libby12 also good to hear that you are also benefiting from the Macmillan sessions. Pepihorse I hope you get your answer re the implant and back surgery soon.
To all Bunnies a huge big hug - for all those feeling down, in pain, energetic & bouncing.
Love the idea of the film being insitu in Spain - I know just the beach and location!! Re punkawallahs - I thought I would give you a bit more background to them. First, they come from various different countries eg. Australia, New Zeland, Africa, India, Britain etc. etc. There are about 20 of them, two of which are girls. What they all have in common of course is that they are all extremely fit (due to a lot of punkawallahing), well tanned & goodlooking (eye candy) Now a number of the boys are gay, infact they can be very Camp which as you know ladies makes us laugh - otherwise how did you think I got Elton John to come and play for us! Plus of course they are very good at helping us chose our nail colours etc. So looking forward to hearing ideas for casting them!
Hugs & kisses to all.

Hi Rubydoo It might be an idea if you need treatment to get yourself back to your family so that they can help support you or can someone can come out to you if you require treatment. Do not do this on your own. Your husband obviously needs to keep working and I am sure will give you all the support you need but he will not be able to be there whilst working. Try to start taking control if you can. If you need treatment work out practicalities - ie. preparing and freezing meals so that if you are tired you have meals prepared for the days you are not interested in food. I know it is going to be a horrible time until you get your results - in some ways once you get the result it gets better because then the way forward is being planned and organised. Wish I was with you to give you a big cuddle. Hang in there girl - YOU WILL BE ALRIGHT AND YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!!!!! XXXXXXXX

So Sorry to hear you are down. Glad though that they managed to drain the offending lump it must feel a lot more comfortable. I am not sure how these things work but perhaps it might be worth talking to the bcn to find out why it was filled with blood as I am sure it could not of come from somewhere else - thinking blood blister here - you know when you trap your finger in a door for example. I trapped a finger in one of the metal security doors on our house and the finger swelled. Went to doctor emergency service and they put a small hole in the nail to release the blood which was causing the swelling, because of the bruising. Having a chat with the help line as Jo BCC has suggested will also help.
Otherwise we are all around you, holding your paws, stroking your ears and whiskers, soothing away all those worries & strains. The team have all the oils & potions for any type of massage you wish to ease away those pains. Your hammock is ready and waiting for you under the palm tree as the sun is lovely & warm today on your ears and whiskers. The punkawallahs are not required but they are there to gently rock you to sleep whilst you are listening to the sea waves lapping against the beach. Feel the warmth of the sun and the gentle sea air against your whiskers........... sleep well Bunny.

Your story sounds so familiar to me. I live in Spain and without this forum I would have been a major basket case. I am 3 months post treatment and doing fine. So first thing - you can get through this - you are in a black, dark place just now but you can get through this. It is the pits but it is doable. There are too many of us who have gone through this life changing experience but we have come through it - so will you I would also say you need to find a translator - not a friend as you need someone who is your support system but not too close so they can take all the details in and deal with any difficult appointments etc. I have a translator and she is worth her weight in gold - if appointments go wrong she can go and sort the problem out etc. eg. my initial mamograms went missing and we could not progress any further but she went into the clinics office until they found them. I am thinking of you today with all my heart & soul wishing you all the best. I am part of the April Bunnies. Have a look at our threads through all the darkness we have found laughter and light. One of our most important rules is Do Not Google - there is a lot of information out there but stick with this web site where you will get the facts from the moderators etc. There is also a thread for younger woman with children - join them and I am sure you will find all the love & support you will nedd to get through this. Take care xxxxxxxxxxxx

Sara12 Sorry to hear you are so down - Can you talk to your BCN or GP - is there a help group you can join please do not suffer on your own. As you know we are all here for you so you keep popping in and keeping up with us - we will whisk you along and make those ears and whiskers perk up again.
So many postings to catch up on so I am going give a roll call at the end so I don't miss anybody. For those on holiday have a wonderful time, for those not feeling so good pop over to the Spa for some specialised treatment and hope you will feel better soon. Those who have got their Mrs Mojo back (no names mentioned!) lucky you! I am trying to work out how to say to my GP how to get my Mrs Mojo back ie. ¿Cómo hago para que mi señora Mojo - being as Spain is a Catholic country he should not be too shocked - hopefully the cruise round the Caribbean should help.
All good this week apart from strength not being what it should be. Do other bunnies have what I call flat days! Seems to be, do so much one day and pay for it the next - getting fed up with this. Starting to think I am being lazy when I give in and sit to do the computer or knitting instead of attending to other things.
Samelee3 - The "forum" sounds like fun hope there is another budding writer out there to get it off the ground.
Sarabee12 - Very pleased to hear you are enjoying being back at work and the bosses are being understanding.
BigM - Sending you healing waves and hoping your lymphodema problem is sorted out on Monday. I want to learn more but I am scared to google but thanks for the info about the looking after the affected side ie. no burns, rashes etc.
Margietee - Have a wonderful holiday.
Pixie - Seriously thinking about buying some steroids to get me going again!
Vanns - Triathlon! Glad you had a word with yourself. Also very pleased that you are signed off until New Year give you time to build up your strength again.
Libby12 - Nice to hear you are cheerier - and quite right no negative thoughts. How was the hair colouring by the way?
Little Chick - Sorry to hear about the peripheal neuropathy - hoping it clears up soon. Congrats on losing the weight though!
Pepeihorse - My Mum in Law had a Prothesis and she found bras from M&S where you can pop it into a pocket in the cup so it stays in one place.
Southpool going to try the threading when I can find someone who does it.
Chirsp1e - goodluck with the knitting and it will be good to meet you when we all meet up again.
Gadget Gal - Hoping the physio can get things moving more quickly for you.
Namar82 - Dont't work too hard and how was the film?
Red letter day for me on Tuesday - had my hair trimmed - looks a bit smarter now instead of obviously different lengths of hair. Actually looks like a very short hairstyle now - nearly had melt down as hairdresser blow dryed it - nearly felt normal again.
Roll Call Bunnies so the Punkawallahs have you all covered - if you know what I mean (wink, wink). Pestering Pixie, Chrisp1e, Little Chick, Southpool, BigM, Vanns, Sara12, Libby12, Sameelee3, Teabelly, Namar82, Sarabee2012, Peipihorse, Ambarose, Rachel1P, Margietee, GMT, Kitty Queen, Hyzenthlay, Gadget Gal & Spacehopper.
I am also definitely up for April whatever is arranged - only date I would like to avoid is 11 April (wedding anniversary) and as we missed our 20th wedding anniversary's this year due to you know what I would like to try & celebrate next year but if does clash I will just have to wait until the next meet.
Big hugs & kisses to all Bunnies

Afternoon Fluffy Bunnies
Chest infection on its way out with the help of antibiotics. Unfortunately dog in heat not so good as she had her “op” on Monday and instead of bouncing back as most dogs do she is very subdued and uncomfortable. I actually think she is rather depressed - bad enough that we had left her for a week, before that was “having fun with scruff” and then to go through an operation as soon as we return home and done by her other Mums (the vets). So poor girl does not know whether she is coming or going. A lot of tlc and sooking up required from this bunny to “dog not amused”!
Vanns - Glad to see you back in the warren again - DO NOT SCARE US AGAIN - PLEASE!!!! Just a wave with the paw when you are feeling down. In fact Bunnies I think we should all, even when we are at our lowest point always just post something so we all know that the bunny when down is still reading the posts. Could always post something like “Bunny Down” so the rest of us can help to cheer that Bunny up.
Pixie - glad they got to the bottom of your shoulder problem as you said strange thing to be cheerful about but at least your worst nightmare was been blown out of the water.
RachelP - Glad to hear Bone scan is clear and I am sure CT scan will be the same. Hoping toddler is recovering and you are enjoying your PJ day.
Peiphorse - Hoping that everything goes well on Monday with the expander and you and I both appear to be dog paw holding
Gadget Gall - Glad to hear the holiday went well and I hope you enjoy the themed lunch - I don’t know the series The Killing so would be interested to hear how it was themed.
Margietee - So pleased you are enjoying being a Granny. Sobering thought that 3 out of your 6 have had bc however, all are doing fine.
Southpool - Glad to hear that your week did not go too badly and light at the end of the tunnel in February.
Sameelee - Congratulations on your free meal. I am sure you had a lovely cup of tea with Sarah. I too have been reflecting over the past year as also my anniversary was 2 nd November - when I found the lump myself and then the roller coaster began.
Ambarose - I hope you get some sleep soon and work should be the last thing you should be worrying about. Time to be selfish and think about only you until you are back on top. One step at a time Bunny - be kind to yourself.
Libby12 - Getting your hair coloured - so jealous! Hopefully beginning of December will have my grey bits touched up before holiday.
BigM - Hope the fluid disperses soon - sounds ‘orrible. The BC support therapies sound like fun & great “support”.
Tea belly - Hope your chest infection is starting to clear up. Write soon and let us know how you are doing.
Namar82 - Hope the sweats are not too much and the sage tea is working. Not too much googling though? How was the last rads?
GMT - Glad you had a lovely holiday and you got some sun.
Well my hair is growing but appears to be coming in curly! My sister wished this on me because hers is curly. What next!?
I have been doing a bit of self evaluating and reprioritising - even surprising myself with some of my reactions. Eg. We go on holiday on 12 December and get back on 31 January. OH & I had a quick discussion on whether to put the Christmas tree up this year. I was thinking probably not and then found myself thinking might not be here next year so yes the tree is going up. No I am not depressed or worrying but wanting to appreciate every moment as much as possible, no longer delaying, postponing but living each moment/occasion/event and I am not going to spend 1 more second on anything that is negative. I think the death of my friends OH has made me realise that life can disappear very quickly. Sorry to bring the posting down - I don’t mean too but just want to say we must live life to the full and get rid of the negatives. Onwards & Upwards.
Okay back to the Spa. Weather here is a lovely gentle 20 degrees albeit cloudy. So although it is not sunny it is still very nice to lie in the hammocks with a few more clothes on than normal - I have provided you all with brightly coloured quilts befitting our tropical paradise. The punkawallahs have their thermals on and their loin cloths are made of angora wool. Their bobble hats are brightly coloured with different coloured bobbles. The manicurest and pedicurests are rushed off their feet as you bunnies are getting ready for the party season and you are certainly keen on trying all the different polishes and sparkly finishes. Massages are now held in candelight in front of the log fires with heavenly scented oils. The chefs have provided us with the most sumptuous food (some not so healthy) but to die for especially the chocolate souffle………
Otherwise enjoy lying in the hammocks during the day listening to the sea gently lapping on the beach and the dolphins playing in the surf.
Hugs & Kisses Bunnies

First Big Hugs to all bunnies as I feel I have been away from you for ages. Missed your furry butts! Vanns I am also shouting how did it go - are you alright? To all those itching hope it passes soon - antihistamine is the answer for those really suffering. I am still on antihistamine after the reaction to chemo which is now 5 months. Will stop once skins does not look like Mr Blobby's when I scratch or rub with towel. I am on 1mg of anitihistamine and apparently you can stay on it for a very long time. For those with droopy ears and whiskers bigger hugs to you bunnies. Pixie hope ONC has encouraging news for Wednesday re the Porthcath issue.
Well in laws ensconsed in new home so fingers crossed that they remain happy there. Said farewell to Mum in Law and I was upset - we have been through so much together. So on Saturday afternoon I crashed but on the road up again. Got back home full of chest infection etc. but starting to get better slowly but surely.
Returned home yesterday to find White cat had taken up residence on our front terrace and demanded attention. Cat was obviously lost and in a lot of distress. So have taken cat in much to the disgust of OH & Dog in Heat. Cat is now allocated to spare bedroom until I find her Mum whilst OH & Dog in heat grumbling.
I thoroughly enjoyed being back in the UK although it was exhausting getting the in-laws settled. Still have not found place or house for us to settle in. Next February intend to drive across and stay 3/4 weeks looking.
Returned to a very soggy wet Spain. Punkawallahs were freezing so have issued them with thermals and woooly hats. Dolphins of course are in their element. The Spa's log fires haves now been lit, all the windows closed and the curtains drawn in the evening so it is nice and cosy. The candles are lit and ready for you bunnies when visit us.
Big Hugs & kisses to All.

Hello Bunnies Looks like the parental units are going to settle . Time will tell but after first afternoon Mum in Law felt she was at home - phew!!!!!!!!!! Shall see how it goes, as the days progress. Very impressed as when we returned this morning they had done quite a lot of unpacking and fairly well organised, still lots to do administation wise but we are getting there. I booked B&B for our first night before they moved into new accommodation. It WAS A DISASTER!, however it did not make them too ill but I will not be allowed to forget my choice! Do not have B&B at The Three Coopers in Bedale not good!
Pixie very impressed Mrs Mojo returned - lucky you! Glad to hear the holiday went so well.
Southpool - we need photo of VW dress and lippy.
Vanns - Glad to hear that you are getting things checked out - I am sure it is normal but you are being very sensible to ensure all is okay
To all those feeling down please come and have a special pamper at the Spa, you know where we are just lie back in the hammocks and hear the sea waves - relax and just feel the warmth on your whiskers.
Love to all Bunnies

I need a group hug & praying session for Monday please. As parental units will be viewing their new home on Monday about 10am - please put paws together that they like their new home or I am in big rabbit stew (sorry bunnies).
Pleased to hear that you now read my posts in a Scottish Accent - please remember to rrrrrrrroll your Rrrrrrrs. . Yes Southpool I am the Kaftan queen - but only in the morning. I have a lot of Kaftans from India (as I lived there for many years) and a couple of Arabic ones. You will be pleased to hear Scruffy boyfriend has now left the garden as dog in heat is now with dog sittter whilst we are in the UK. Dog in heat is now quite happy as her other boyfriend Barney is there & very interested in her but he has been done! Floozy!
Sarabee12 - Congrats on returning to work and so pleased to hear you are getting lots of support.
Southpool, Amberose and all those finishing rads - Congratulations - it is such a relief to get it over with.
BigM - Don't work too hard - remember to pace yourself!
Libby12 - Hoping your aching joints are easing as I wish all bunnies with aching joints!
Sara12 - Thank you again for the link - it was exactly what we have all been going through and very well written.
1J - Thank you for popping in - a wave to all Diamond Chicks
Gadget Gal - which part of London are you in?, as with all the travelling I am doing just now you never know we might be in London soon eg. passing through London in December.
Pixie hope you are having a wonderful holiday and getting some rest.
To all other bunnies and for those who have been missing for a few days TEABELLY, Crispe1e, give us a wave.

Have just read the article - very powerful and put into words everything we have been through . I am an onward and upwards Bunny though.
Story of today. Just now dog is in heat, scruffy wild boyfriend on site, gate left open, dog in heat chases after scruffy boyfriend with me in hot pursuit wearing kaftan and jacket running down the road calling on dog in heat only to see furry butts disappearing into the distance. Luckily dog in heat returns to area with scruffy boyfriend and after panic phone call to OH managed to recapture dog in heat. Dog in heat now under house arrest whilst scruffy boyfriend is lurking in our garden as unable to stop him getting in (is carrying rope & clampons to scale wall). I have been ill all day with the stress, what between returning parental units back to the UK, finding a house for self and now dog in heat I am ready to scream!!!!!!!!!!! Dog in heat booked in for op in a week's time.
Have a good night Bunnies

It is 6am this morning and at last I am able to quickly post before having to get another busy day started. First big wave & hugs to all Bunnies as not able to mention each one this time round. Except for Nat - take care bunny huge big hug for you on this anniversary.
First ditto everybody has said about the Bunnyfeste such a wonderful and inspiring get together. It was the strangest feeling to meet women who although we did not know what we looked like, we were already very close as very good friends and sisters. I feel very privileged to be part of a very special group of women, even though that sounds macabre. Ditto meeting again!!!!
Apologies for not meeting up in the evening, had an early evening meal, early to bed, early breakfast and then headed down to Cirencester before heading for Bristol on Sunday. Like Cirencester a lot however, the houses were a disaster so still looking. In Bristol met OHs son & his wife, met them again on Monday morning for breaky, back to Cirencester to view more houses and meet friends for lunch. Back to Birmingham for the evening before getting very early morning flight back to Spain. Picked dog up, dropped cases off at house and then down to OHs parents to help them finish packing. Movers arrived yesterday morning to pack their house up, got the parents settled into temporary accommodation. Also had appointment with Plastic Surgeon yesterday afternoon. Next appointment next June to discuss possible reconstruction ie. making good boob smaller to match affected boob - I don't think so!!!!! Felt very low after appointment as it reminded me of everything I have gone through - as all of you have. However, once back home and made sure parents were warm, made them dinner (meals on wheels) soon forgot the blues - don't have time for them just now!
All heading back to the UK on Sunday for a week to settle the parents into their new home. Hopefully will have time in the evening to catch up with you Bunnies.
So Huge hugs again & BIG Kisses to you all. Shall check in later.
Love you all!!!!
This afternoon - I shall pm everyone with all the email addresses. I will also send the photographs by email to each of you.
