Hi. Would you be able to pm your email address so I can add it to our group? Our next daytime meeting is 27th November 10am - 12pm at Me and Mrs Fisher cafe on Lord Mayor's Walk. We normally have a younger women's meeting on the 2nd Thursday of the month but the 11th December will be an all age laughter yoga session at the Pig and Pastry on Bishopthorpe Rd. Hi, yes we have started Breast Friends York. We meet twice a month, on the last Thursday of the month we meet from 10am-12pm at Me and Mrs Fisher's on Lord Mayor's walk. This is open to all ages. We also have a younger women's meeting on the second Thursday of the month, 7-9pm at the Pig and Pastry, Bishopthorpe Rd. We are hoping to hold a lingerie evening later this month. It would be lovely to see any of you.

My friend and I have been disappointed about the lack of support in York so have decided to start a group, Breast Friends York. We are going to hold meetings on the last Thursday morning of the month for everyone; the first one will be on Thursday 24th April 10am - 12pm at the Cancer Care Centre at York District Hospital. This will be a drop in with coffee, cake and chat. We are also going to hold monthly evening meetings for younger women, aged 46 and under at diagnosis on the second Thursday of the month. Our first meeting is on 8th May at 7pm at the Pig and Pastry on Bishopthorpe Road. We look forward to meeting any of you.

We were thinking of meeting somewhere else in an evening so women who are back at work can still attend. We've got a meeting with the Bcn soon to find out what went wrong last time and get their support. We are also thinking of having a daytime meeting, possibly in the cancer care centre, which might be easier for people who are newly diagnosed.

Although we're trying to set up a support group for younger women I'm very happy to meet for coffee with you. I'm at the older end of younger myself and feel bad that we can't start something that supports everyone but we'd rather start small and build on it than do something that doesn't suit anyone.

Hi Abbey and Louise, I am making progress with setting up a support group. We are aiming it at younger women, under 45 at diagnosis, because we know there is a need and we fit into that group.
