Hello ladies , just a quick post to let you know I had my 6 th chemo , was a long day waiting for bloods , but they came ok and to go ahead , so I'm in bed , usually am for a good week , sore tongue and mouth already , no appetite and feel sick , plus I get worse as the steroids leave my system and when my bloods drop , they have given me 10 days gcsf injections and 10 days antibiotics from day 5 , but I have to keep telling my self it's the last chemo , chemo nurse says I have to watch out for 5 wks after chemo re immunity stakes with my bloods going neutropenic every time , hope everyone ok , I'll try and nip back , love to everyone xxx ... Hi ladies hope all is well , I have my last chemo tomorrow , well I'm saying that , my bloods are borderline , so I have to have my bloods done before my chemo to see whether I'm ok to go ahead , I'm not holding out much hope as I feel shattered and have thrush in my mouth so run down , but my onc said it was ok to go ahead even if bloods borderline , it's pharmacy who want repeat bloods done , so fingers crossed everyone that my bloods have all come up xxxx ... Hi debs I would phone your Emerg number up and ask advice , it sounds like you need better antisickness , what day are you on now ? I must admit I'm not picking up too , I've been out for an hr and felt like my legs were going to give way in tesco , thank god for the trolley , do you have fluconazole for the thrush in your mouth ? I like the sound of gold club ha ha can I join , I wonder how some of us have it weekly and done every 3 wk , even my onc says TAC is really hard going and she keeps having to reduce people's doses or even stop on one occasion due to neuropathy , bibi , well done for putting that lady in her place , why some have to be so rude is beyond me , I think your doing fantastic to get on the golf course , well done you xxx ... Hi debs sorry you having such a bad time , I'm on T also as well as too other chemo drugs , I've just had my 5 th , I found it so hard going , my onc did reduce mine so maybe if you explain how bad you feel , as for the low mood , I get it every time , it's normally the come down from the very high dose steroids you have with T , it should start to clear for you hopefully xxx I'm still having a hard time with my mouth , ulcers, pain and general bad taste , my neuropathy bad today too , wearing gloves indoors at mo , im normally picking up by now day 12 so not sure what's going on , I am tired though as my 5 yr old came home from school yesterday and was sick , and through the night , so I've been up with him most of night , poor thing , and now the paranoid feelings of waiting for me to get it now are kicking in , I can't wait for all this chemo to be over for us all Invisible tattoos, wow , they didn't exist 3 yrs ago , I've got 3 black spots , all the best to everyone , I think the chemo is accumulative and is starting to wear us down abit , hugs to everyone xxx ... Thanks Tania , I've already got the diflam mouth wash and spray which is ok for my mouth and back of throat , but it's sore deep in my oesophagus so not sure what I can do for that , I'll keep taking the painkillers , I know last cycle I got my fluconazole doubled and that did seem to help the sore throat , I'll ring them up tomorrow if it's not better , my bloods will be low , I always go neutropenic despite the injections I have so my body will be having a hard time trying to get rid of anything , also I was meant to have 80% dose of chemo , but by mistake I was give 2 lots of the drugs at 90% and one lot when it came to light at 80% , so that's maybe why I'm not picking up as good this time , might ask for the gelclair though thank you xxx ... Hi everyone Bibbi , it took me quite a while to get back to normal , but everyone is different , I wasn't mentally as sharp , that never really came back to be honest and physically I got tired very easy , so it's quite frustrating , also most people round you think your better and back to normal but it just takes time . I was the same Lisa jane , especially where my little boy is concerned Today is day 10 , yest was quite a weepy day , fed up with the pain in my side and my painful mouth and throat , pain not as bad today today in side but my mouth and throat are getting me down , tongue painful and can't swallow , feel like food getting stuck , not been able to eat much for days now , and can't taste anything either, grrrrr , hope everyone else fairing abit better xxxx ... Hi , I've been through the low point after treatment as it's my second time round , I'm afraid after being under constant medical treatment and support , your suddenly on your own with time to think about things and it can hit you , getting back to normal can be abit hard and strange at first depending on what support you have at home , so the counselling after is a good idea , I've still got my pain in right side , taking co codamol for it , I phoned the hospital up and was told just to carry on with the painkillers and go to my doctors on mon for an examination , it's my throat at the moment though that's getting to me , it's coated and I can't swallow food without a drink , it's funny how we all get different side effects , I've found this TAC so hard going , glad I've only one left to go , have a good wkend everyone xxx ... I also get the sweating side effect , I get twitching eyes too , right now it's cramping stomach ache and a furry mouth , it's day 7 today so I'm getting abit run down of feeling rubbish , hope everyone else ok , I might be tempted to take some co codamol before bed for this pain , hope everyone else ok xxx ... Hi Sarah , what's lipocils ? I've also got abit of growth on my head , my eyelashes are thinning , but last time I had chemo they didn't go right up until the the last cycle , I just pencil a line in , it makes them look thicker . Hi Shelley , I had my chemo reduced after my 1st cycle , I'm down to 80% now , I'm sure you won't find the pain so bad , could you have some good pain relief in place just in case , I can't sleep either , I'm waking on and off all night long , it makes for long days xxx ... Hi jhbee, I'm sure tramadol will be fine , I find it too strong so I'd only take it at home first and no driving if it knocks your socks off , I'm taking co codamol at the moment which I can tolerate better than tramadol , I've got the shop bought strength and some stronger I got prescribed , only problem with codeine is it can constipated you , so laxitives are needed , hope this helps xxx ... Hi ladies I'm on day 7 of my TAC , I managed to get a temp filling put on my tooth , so hope it holds out , but the tooth has now took a back burner now to stomach cramps and diarrhoea , so feeling pretty weak at the moment , it seems to come on when I've eaten anything , it started last night but it's worse today . As for eyelashes , I've had this chemo before and unfortunately my eyelashes shed after treatment had finished , then grew back and then shed again , but they didn't all go and everyone is different , I've got hair on my head growing already , it's fine and sparse but it's growing . Tania I have the district nurse come every week to flush my line on my Hickman , they also changed the dressing and took some if my stitches out, they can show you how to do it yourself but the heparin bottle they use to flush the line is a glass bottle which you have to snap and I'm always scared I'll cut myself , plus when your not feeling too good and weak it's hard , hope everyone ok and not suffering too much xxx ... Morning ladies , I'm on day 6 of my TAC , been in bed for most of it , I've got to go out today , I broke my tooth on day 2 and I need it covered before it gets worse , it's tingling at the moment , I contacted my Emerg number whom said I could have a temp cover put over it but nothing invasive , so I'm hoping that's what they will do , I'm not looking forward to having to get dressed , the stairs are proving difficult at the moment and my hands and feet feel bruised and numb , but on other hand I don't want my tooth left open to infection , grrrr the complications , I had the most awful bad dreams last night , my little boy woke me up saying I needed a cuddle bless him , it's usually the other way round , he's only 5 , is anyone else having weird dreams , I normally have them when I start the gcsf injections , love to everyone , and be great to keep posting in here through all our other treatments xxx ... I have just chipped my tooth on day 2 of 5 th chemo , the day before I get I can't get out of bed for days , sigh !!! Looks like I'll have to ring Weston park up my cancer hospital up in morning as it's sensitive already and it's a tooth that I've had pain in before , boo hoo 😞 xxx ... View more

Hello ladies , thought I'd post now as from tomorrow I'll be poorly until fri with the awful black cloud I get from the come down from the steroids , I did ask if I could be weaned off them as it really does seem to affect me but my usual onc was on holiday and the other lady seemed to think it would give me other side effects , I do find the low mood really hard to handle especially as I have a 5 yr old boy , I also nearly got 90% dose of my tax yest , yikes , it was only by chance my mum mentioned it , so it had to be remade , no idea how that happened , so I've had 90% of AC , so I hope I manage ok with that , but it's the tax that I have problems with , I also have crusty eyes , and they can get sore if you try to pull them off so softly approach with the cotton wool and warm water , hope everyone ok , so awful what's happened in Paris , Lv and hugs Lisa xxx ... Hi ladies , I have my chemo tom , 5th TAC , it's been reduced past twice to 80% , I'm having abit of a panic at the moment , why I do this to myself I do not know grrr , I saw a different consultant yesterday , my usual one is on holiday , I told her my neuropathy in hands and feet had got better , and now today it's only come back , how that's happened i do not know , I'm wondering if anxiety has anything to do with it , so I'll have to mention it to my chemo nurse tom , I think the steroids are making me jittery and mind go on overdrive . Hi Tania , I have a Hickman line fitted , they do numb you with local to put it in and there is a lot of tugging and pulling and it is quite sore after , I personally don't like mine ,as it's a reminder all the time of the chemo , but needs must and it does make it easy for chemo and bloods and such , no needles , no soreness or painful veins and if you only got 2 more to go it won't be in for too long anyway , love to everyone xxxx ... Hello ladies , I've just been for my bloods doing ready for my 5th cycle of TAC , I've also had my chemo reduced by 20% , my onc says it still has benefit upto 50% reduction , and they only do it as a guide on height and weight as they don't know how toxic it's going to be to us , but yes you do worry it's not going to work , but it does depend on how severe the side effects are and they don't want to get to the point where they can't give us any chemo at all , that's what I was told when I was apprehensive , I'm not looking forward to no 5 , and the date , this fri 13 th !!!!! Also my 5 yr old is being very clingy and emotional , I'll be so glad when the chemo over and we can move back home and get some normality back , he may settle more then . I'm also struggling with my wig , had it on about 4 times , it's so warm , so I'm still hat wearing , but not now phew it's so warm today , brave where can I access your blog , I'd love to read it , Lv to everyone xxxxx ... Morning ladies , I've just got back from hospital , I've been admitted for 3 days on iv antibiotics with a sinus infection , I've finished my 4 th cycle of TAC , I'll really be glad when it's over with , my next cycle is fri 13 th eek , I also get aching everywhere and muscle spasms , the spasm stop after I finish my gcsf injections though , also my digestive system and bowels don't know what they are doing and yesterday I couldn't hold my wee , so no idea if this is a neuropathy side effects , I'm thinking of asking for more steroids as when I finish them I go into such a low mood which I feel awful over especially as I've moved in with my mum and dad and I feel like it's not fair on my little boy as I take to my bed for nearly a wk after chemo as it wipes me out so much , sorry to moan abit ladies , glad you getting some pampering from boots , I've got a head stubble , the T took my hair first cycle but then it started to grow again , I just trim any stray long hairs , how does the dark nail polish work ?
