Hello Valentines firstly I'd like to apologise for not being on here for a very long time, but I was struggling quite a bit in my head with all this. I'm glad to say I'm past that now. Still fed up with this disease and very frustrated at feeling and acting a lot older than I am. Dont like the fact I can't do things as quick as I used to. I have finished rads now which I found hard, as in tiring going every day and only a couple of blisters. I'm not liking tamoxifen which is making me feel a little sick and night sweats (amout I sweat I should have at least lost near half stone!!!!) so all in all not liking it a lot, but its tough cos not a lot I can do with it. Evening ladies, boy have I been a right grumpy mare feeling very low. This round I found tough mentally OH has been pretty useless if I'm honest and felt pretty much on my own. I went to visit my parents for my dads 75th birthday at the weekend. It was lovely seeing my mom she's not seen me since before I started treatment (think I was a bit of a shock to her) My last TC is Friday and quite frankly it fills me with dread. OH has decided to go on a course next week right in the middle ofmy down days which has upset me a little so decided to go up to Brum and stay with mom/dad for the week. I've found work pretty hard going so I think I've had a wake up call so considering not returning for those two weeks after last cycle. Really sorry I've not mentioned any one personally but first time on the site. I will read back now but inmeantime I hope no ones beensuffering with too many SE's. Hi all, sorry ive been vacant but Ive been one big ball of misery! The hole of calcutta had consumed me alived 😞 Im better than I was but struggling to shift the dooooom! Linda sorry youve not felt good it was described tome as the tax trots! ive not lost as much as yourself but thankfully lost most of what I put on through steroids. Im too scared to take immodium in case I go completely the other way and my already existing piles decide to give birth themselves!! (sorry to be so graphic) Funki I described the exact feeling you had with pain in your neck and sensitive to touch to my brest nurse she said thats the "c" side effect, thats all the info she gave me no self help nowt pretty useless really. Roadshow, just wanted to say thats exactly how ive been for cycle 2 and 3 now its not nice I was laid up in bed for 2 days but had to keep lyining down before i felll down. For both cycles my neuts before chemo has been 16 and 14 so dread to think what they spike to after injection. Hope you feel better soon. xx ... View more

Linda I can honestly say I feel no different to the reduced chemo this time round. I am finding the injection hard though as it does give me not so nuch bone pain but sensitivity around neck area and back. But that was my choice to go back onto the one as I cant inject myself. As you know ive had high readings maybe due to this and still high temp, does it mask an infection i honestly dont know. Sorry cant help you more, im not in the right frame of mind, but for me if i could bin the steroids and injection id be happier. Good luckfor timorrow ill be thinking of you xx ... View more

Milly Molly poor you for that panic but how on earth did that get there? Glad it wasn't nothing serious. If you're not up to shopping tomorrow why not do it online? I mentioned my boob today as for the last two weeks it's been quite read above the scar and not feeling right so I'm booked in to see the surgeon to get checked out on Thursday. TC cycle 2 day 1 Fantastic news for you OH Tup well done to him 🙂 I'm just home and pooped had to wait ages for my drugs I didn't get them till 1pm I had to be there for 9am 😞 I have found out today my neuts and WBC are quite high and have been since cycle 2. Last cycle WBC was 16.5 and neuts 14.0. This week WBC 14.6 neurts 13.5 is that good or bad before I do the dreaded thing and google. I hope all who has treatment today are ok. Kath I love that Pam Ayres poem I've heard before. Mandy what I did when I had my head cold and I can guarantee it wasn't glamourous in the slightest but what's glam about bc anyhow stuffed tissue up me snowt didn't get a sore nose 😉 lol Right I'm starting to feel a little woowoo so off to put my feet up Lisa xx ... good luck to all having chemo today. My OH has got the day off and usually travel with him to chemo, its only a short walk frim his work. But today Im having to treck there via tube - how rude of him! Angela can i just say be careful with manicures especially when theydo cuticles causing infections. Hope you're ok Elaine. there was a programe on Radio 4 Inside Health that you can listen to again on Iplayer all about Tamoxifen worth a listen too if you're going onto it. Linda not sure if they will just lower your chemo instead of the injections I know only thing offered to me was instead of one big injection to 7 smaller injections which Im not happy about as I cant do injections and oh wont be around that week for a few days to give it but as normal my bn hasnt had the decency to get back to me despite a phone call and 2 voicemails to call me! but thats another story. worth asking though and Id be very interested if they're able not to give injections. Paula not sure if youve mentioned to them that your sleep fairies have gone awol but they gave me some sleeping pills that did the trick esp during the steroid phase, worth a try.
