Hi Jewells, back from the bar safe and sound, just feel very slightly light headed, thank you to everyone for your good wishes, 1/2way through now, 3 Tax to go. When I was there today another patient who was having her 1st T after 3 FEC said she has been taking Vitamin B Complex since starting Chemo, it helps hair and nails apparantly, has anyone ever heard this, I am going to phone unit before I take them just in case, help please!!!! Hi Jewells, I don't post very often but I read posts every day, I am with you all the way. Can anyone help with my nail problem? One of my nails has started going black, slightly from the cuticle end, I have purchased some Evonail but it says not to remove with nail varnish remover but to use Evoskin Cleanser, can I use anything else? or do I now have send for the cleanser. Marion, not sure if this will help you but perhaps you can give it a try, years ago I had bad Hay Fever and a very bad cough with it, the doc gave me an inhaler Ventalin I think, it stopped me coughing straight away, I only used it for this purpose and once pollen had gone I didn't need it, last night I used my OH inhaler because I couldn't sleep through coughing and went straight to sleep, so maybe you could ask GP it might give you some relief. Jill, my hand and arm swelled up, not a lot but enough for my watch to be tight, spoke to BCN she said to use moisturiser or E45 and massage in upward movements from the hand up, it did help, give it a try. Xxx ... View more

Emma (Peachey) good luck at the bar today. Marion, I had bad cough spoke to Doc about it before cocktail she said it could be Hay Fever and to go to docs and get something for it, I had antihistamines so have tried them first, I have only taken one so well have to see. Well have been up all night had a doze on sofa but from 2am have been tidying up etc. OH birthday today so not sure what we are doing, he won't go out in the heat so we just might relax at home or go out for lunch, going to Braintree Got Talent tonight GS is singing in it, have to give him all the support we can, he's 12 and well in to his singing. Back from the bar and not too bad, feel a little light headed just going to take it easy for the rest of the day. Dr told me my cough is proberly s/e from chemo but could be hay fever, so going to try anti-histamines, she said to rub olive oil on my head when hair all gone, very soothing and good for soreness. Trip to bar was ok no problems so Emma be strong take in what Ann said its all so true. Virtual hug on the wayxxxxxx Thank you for all information on sleep caps, will take a look. Hi Marion, hope you don't mind me asking but where did you buy your sleep cap from? My hair is rapidly going, my head is really sore and hurting, but I need something for sleeping in, I don't want my OH waking up with a convict now do I. Hi everyone, have been to a LGFB workshop today, brilliant, if you haven't been yet make an appointment soon as you can, I saw approx 12 women go in (inc. myself) and the same number of attractive ladies come out. It is such an uplifting experience and really makes you feel good, you are given a wonderful gift when you arrive then they show you how to make the best of yourself with the products. I met ethel1 (Elizabeth) there, it was lovely to meet you Elizabeth especially putting a face to the name. Thank you to the girls who have put recipes on here, would you mind if I copy them and send them to Debbie,(she ran the session) she is getting a book together with recipes and other things inside and eventually will sell to raise funds for the LGFB charity. Seem to be on a good stretch at the moment, just have a slightly sore mouth and a small amount of acid (fingers crossed). Hope everyone else is coping well, too many now to mention. Chelle I too went out Saturday but on my own, I thought I would have a shopping trip but once out I couldn't wait to get home, I just got what I needed and hot-footed home, which included a 25 min drive, proberly my stubborn streak coming out just wanted to be normal again. Have not felt well over weekend have 'been' but still a bit heady and sluggish. Good luck to everyone having treatment today, I found it wasn't too bad on the day, just make sure you look after yourselves after.
