Hello all you lovely ladies Nightmare Dyane x Well what a crap week or so, throat infection, ear infection and eye infection, was put on antibiotics and then developed oral thrush felt really down and miserable and I understand just how you feel Milly Molly . I went for my pre assesment last week and they found that I had a UTI to finish of a great week! I went and had my radioactive dye and photos done today ready for tomorrow another early start, 7.30 at the ward! I am dreading tomorrow this will be my first operation. but then another bridge crossed. Still really suffering with my hands and feet red raw my oncologist said that this would pass two weeks after finishing chemo it's now 4 weeks I think he lied !! Ultra sound Thursday to see whats going on with the tummy I,ll be glad when that's out of the way I have convinced my self of all sorts. Hope everyone is doing ok Annabelle x ... View more

Kat I had chemo first and am surgery next week. I was told that surgery has to be done with 4-6 weeks after your last chemo, my op is 4 weeks after my last chemo. Hope this helps Annabelle ... View more

Good news Kath you must be relieved. I went yesterday to meet new breast surgeon and he has decided that I will not need the wire guided wle just a straight forward wle which was scheduled for the 9th of August but is now on the 13th as someone forgot to put me on the list !!! He insisted on further mama grams and a further ultra sound and said that the chemo had really done its job. I also saw the trial lady wih regards to the golden seed and they place some seeds around the tumor (£250.00) per seed and you have a more intense dose of radio on that section and a weaken dose on the rest of the breast. You are also monitored for 10 years instead of 5 so I think that I will probably go for it. I still have may tummy issues my GP has asked for an ultra sound as she thinks its gallstones ! great ! I'm also on antibiotics because I have a throat infection and feeling pretty rubbish and washed out I but its not yet three weeks since my last chemo. Hope everyone else is ok Annabelle x ... Hi all I have a date now for surgery 9th of August I looking forward to having that bit done and dusted and one step closer to the end. But most of all having my PICC line removed no more hours drive to the hospital for a while. The golden seeds trial is we're they put real gold seeds in when you are having the wle . they will go around the area where the tumor was so that the radiographer can be more precise when doing the radio therapy. That's all I know at the moment will find out more on Wednesday when I go again. Gill the tummy problem still the there but not as painful my gp has put me on rantindine to see if that helps but he is putting it down to a side effect from tax. Hope everyone ok. Annabelle x ... Hope you are ok Mandy after 3rd WLE and you get good results. I went to see the breast surgeon yesterday to get a date for my wle yesterday and also a scan. The illegal suatter is 17 x 12 now so that was good news but he can not do the operation because I now require the op to be done via a guided wire and at the hospital where he operates at the moment have suspended that procedure due to a few issuses ! So I have to go back next week and see a different surgeon to get a date, I was really disappointed as This Dr had been with me since day one. Hi all I have reached the car park after a very long day, I had extras done to make sure nothing serious re tummy pains but all was clear so oncologist is a bit bemused as to what it can be so I was given the choice to have a week off or carry on so I opted to have my final one. Hi all Kath glad the hair is coming through what colour were you before, I have a great covering of hair and I am still having tax . I used to be brown but now it's white !!!! not impressed jut I am grateful for any hair! So with fourth and final tax looming for Friday I had Amy meeting with the oncologist and bloods done today. I have had a terrible pain in my stomach for the last ten days and its very swollen so I thought that I would mention it as he is un sure as to what it could be so if it no better before Friday then chemo will be postponed not a happy bunny. The pain is right in the centre of chest it does feel like ingestion but no matter what I take its not shifting. I am taking ompreznel. So any ideas ladies to shift this would be great lreally i never thought I wouldever say this but I really want to have my final chemo on Friday and reach that car park. Hi all For those suffering with hot flushes, I purchased a gel pillow from Tg Hughes it was £30 reduced to 9.99 and its really helped cools you down with seconds well worth the money. Had tax number 3 last Friday dried effects just as horrid with the reduced dose.Today is the first day of feeling ok, so 7 days to go untill the final one hen I can join all you great ladies in that car park and Linda you will not be far behind. A question hat I keep forgetting to ask re PICC line , when does it get removed, after chemo or after my operation ? any thoughts would be appreciated. Hi all I had my oncologist appointment yesterday before round 3 of Tax, and as usual an examination and he could not feel my illegal squatter at all ! He then sent me over to the breast clinic to see the surgeon for his opinion and he also agreed that ahe could no longer feel the lump as you can imagine I was over the moon, this means that I can defo have a wle but now it a will have to be done via a guided wire. I asked the question as to whether I really still needed my last two rounds of chemo and much to my disappointment the answer was yes but he will reduce my dose by 25 % to help with the side effects. This round of tax has really hit me hard but hopefully the next two wont be as harsh and at least I know that he chemo has recalled kicked arse! Hi all Well done to all of you that have reached the car park I will be there soon! I have spent last three days in the hospital with an infection somewhere again, so lots of antibiotics again until bloods were ok. Back home again and getting all geared up for Friday round 3 of 4 of tax. I have developed sore hands and feet so the drs have put me on Pyridoxine more tablets to take, my feet feel like they are on fire! Hope everyone has a good side effect free weekend. Annabelle x ... Hi Dyane No such luck I asked straight away, district nurses are no longer allowed to flush PICC lines and my local village hospital do not do them either, checked with nurses at gp surgery but she is unable to do them either, they can not even take blood from them! Hi all I haven't posted for a while now but glad hat so many of you have reached the car park well done to you all. I was one of the first ones to start Feb 1st and it looks like I will be the last one to finish! I still have 2 more docetaxol to go had a five week break as I had a PICC fitted which has been a god send no more hunting for a vein.Although its a real pain having to do the 60 mile trip to the hospital to get it flushed once a week epecially the first week after chemo when I feel so rough but hey ho! Docetaxol is horrid a lot harsher than FEC in my opinion a lot more side effects but I spend most of my time out of it on tramadol. Best wishes to all Annabelle x ... View more

Hi all Glad everyone is out for the weekend I hope it stays that way. I should of had my PICC line fitted today but for some reason it will not be until next Thursday so no chemo for me. That means I have had a two week break. Happy in one way but would of rather of to tax number one under my belt but its great to feel half normal for a tad longer-just drags out the finishing line.
