Hi! I'm going (just sorting the logistics of getting from York to Manchester that early as can't drive anymore (due to brain mets.) Really looking forward to meeting everyone. How do the rooms work? We do get our own rooms don't we? Just a bit worried about sharing with a stranger!! Thanks Nicky xx

Hi Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I've been like this nearly a year. I've been referred to endocrinology bit not til April. They think it's diabetes insipidus which has freaked me out as this can be SE of a tumour on the pituitary gland. Can't seem to find much about it on line relating to BC xx

I would love to hear how you are all getting on. I was dx June 2010, lumpectomy, chemo, rads and tamoxifen. Been suffering from back ache and have just got a bone scan apt best on day Monday, 22nd. I'm a nervous wreck!!!

Just be careful, some antidepressants (def Prozac) can interact with tamoxifen and make it ineffective. My consultant wrote to the pharmacy people, and they said not to take together.

Definately try it. A lot of people can't bear it, but I found it was really the 1st 15 mins that are the worse. Get over that and you'll be fine. I too cut my hair to a bob style. I'd say i probably lost about a third of my hair, but people didn't notice. I also lost the bottom 3 inches of my hair at the back above my neck, I think it was where the cap didnt fit properley. But again it was hidden.
I did use shampoo, just dove, or another one thats mild, but only did it once ebery 10 days or so (yes dirty hair but I figured better than no hair!) as hair does come out when you brush/wash. I would suggest wearing a hair net while in the house too..

I'm going mad, can someone help!! I had lumpectomy 06/10 with 3/15 lymphs +ve, chemo, rads, tamoxifen.
Since November my voice has been hoarse. Was really bad over Xmas, now comes and goes. GP sending me to ENT on Monday for camera down my nose. Also had a bit of neck ache (on treated side) Apart from this I have had a feeling of something stuck under my ribs, and a general ache to the right hand side. I have also noticed that for a while now my urine has a tinge of green to it.. I'm really worrying that it's my liver. Think I had last bloods done in November time and all was clear. I also had a chest xray in December as I couldn't get rid of a cough/wheeeze, but that too was clear.I feel like I am turning into a hypochondriac, and don't like to mention half of my symptoms to my GP, as I feel like a complete and utter loon!! But then I also do have physical symptoms.
I've tried to keep off the forums as I drive myself crazy looking everything up, but need a bit of advice.. Please xxxx

I have similar. I had lumpectomy last June, chemo, rads and now tamoxifen. I ache all over my surgery side, especially my neck up into my head. I have that pain you describe under my rib. Feels very tender, I've guessed it's a gland? But I too have had LD of the breast for a few months now. Having weekly massage and being taped. My PT said a blockage can back-up and cause pain. But I am on here again, looking for answers and worrying!!! Xxx

I finished treatment in dec. Started with breast LD in about April. I have been having weekly massage, and have been taped the last couple of weeks. Whilst it is much better, it's by no means gone. But I am seeing my PT every week, and have had lots if advice. She says exercise is good for LD and recommended swimming, but to build it up gently.

Hello Ladies!!
Well... had my 2nd Lymphatic massage today! What a bizzare experience! Almost like a tickle it's that light.. But already the boob is feeling softer and lighter. And wasn't as sore when I laid on the side in bed.. So fingers crossed it is going to work!!

I haven't had a period for nearly a year now.. but I have been keeping a record, and I can now tell when I should be haing one, and the pains are def linked in..
