I can tottaly understand the need for the secondary ladies to have their own sub catagories ,because as rightly pointed out needs between primary and secondary patients are sometimes very different, I do however take offence at the comment " We don't want to see primary over our groups" and hope it wasnt intended the way it came accross, I personaly although being a primary , have many friends on the BCC forums who are secondary ,and have never understood why there is a distincion on the bcc forums , many primary ladies, including myself have always championed the secondary ladies in their fight for better awearness and to be heard on the forums and not to feel hidden away as i know a lot of secondary ladies currently do. Segregation (if that is what is being suggested) will only add to that feeling of being ignored surely. I cannot imagine a primary suggesting that we dont want secondarys over our groups, for the very same reason ,it would be wrong and equaly offensive, support is not ,and should not ,be restricted to those that fall into the same catagory as ourselves , otherwise everyone whether it be primary or secondary is continuing to impose a divide which shouldnt be there in the first place, Cancer is Cancer , people may be at different stages ,but that doesnt mean that their needs are any the less , over the yrs ive lost many friends on here, both primary with so called good prognosis and secondary with poor prognosis , i consider myself lucky to have known and been good friends with all of them. I agree with seperate sub catagories for secondarys , as i too can emphathise with some of the more friviolus comments made on the forums ( even some of us primarys get frustrated sometimes too) but no one should feel not able to post on a thread ,whatever the dx ,if they feel they can support or help someone whatever the stage of disease.
