My SIL has a benign tumour behind her eye which is pressing on her optical nerve. Luckily, she has private insurance which means that she has been offered the cyber knife to stop its growth. (My personal feelings it should be a treatment available to all but that's another discussion).
Has anyone had experience of the cyber knife? I'm trying to understand it all and the side effects that she may have in her recovery. She was so supportive to me following my dx and through my treatment that I'd like to offer her support but I just don't know what to expect.

Did I hear the words Tea & Bacon Butty? Mmm Yes please! Rude awaking this morning, playing hide and seek around the woods, searching for a daft cat who has to have supervised garden parole ..... not good when you have Tamoxifen Tendons first thing in a morning! I'm really not sure of his use these days - I've tried to train him like Soddit & Buggerit but he's so headstrong!
Love & best wishes to SCACO, I hope they sort her discomfort out quickly and she is back in the Recuperation Tent soon.

Hi Sept 12 Girls,
A September 11 Girl here (6 x FEC)! Just popping in to say good luck! The worst thing about chemo is the unknown - it is do-able but once you go through your first couple of cycles, you begin to learn the routine.
You will get through it - just keep talking to each other, remember there is no such thing as a wrong question! I remember that when girls talked about their side effects it helped others.

Line them up Kate!! It seems like I have delayed chemo brain happening!!! Manopause ....(ooops don't tell the hubby that,although he may agree its a se of the blooming Tamoxifen!)
Kate just be careful about the piano playing ... PB may join in and as we know that's not good!!
Mary Grace, I may take refuge in the tree-house - nasty things are happening at that place that begins with W and ends with K and no one will find me here (until I want to be found!)

I'm like Libby - I only come here when I receive an email notification.
I still think of Clare often, in the garden or like today when Mum said I had a pretty top on - my turquoise top purchased in honour of Clare!
It would be nice for us to still keep in touch via the thread as Clare had brought us all together, it would be a shame to drift apart ...

I have bought a turquoise top just for Clare and will wear it on Friday to remember her. I will wear it when I "Race for Life" in a couple of weeks too and stand out from the crowd.
