Hi Wacky,
I really wish there was something I could say or do to make things better for you and your family.
If you haven't done so already, I would ring the BCC helpline who may be able to guide you in the right direction with getting some help. There does come a time when you have to think of the needs of the whole family and not just your Mum. Hopefully, with the right help in place things will be easier for you and your Dad.
It's quite normal for you to get frustrated with the situation but try not to get angry with your Mum, I'm sure if she wasn't so poorly she wouldn't be like this. Believe me, I know it's difficult I have an 82 year old Mum and lost my Dad to cancer nearly 20 years ago.

Jay, it's lovely to hear from you and it's nice to hear your Mum's clot is improving. I'm so sorry to hear about your son's flat - they are really going through it at the moment aren't they? I hope that there aren't any more mishaps before the wedding. As Julia and RevCat say, don't worry about making plans for London yet, we can shuffle around rooms etc - it would be lovely to see you xx
We're having a good time here, very relaxed and getting plenty of exercise which is paying off - I'm not feeling as stiff and feel more mobile now 🙂 The hair is doing my head in - its very Judy Dench at the mo - not a good look for a 43 year old!

I'm so bad at coming on here these days (trying to build my hours up at work!).
Good luck with your ultrasound - I'll be thinking of you & fingers crossed that you don't need Tax. I'm sure what ever Mrs Onc recommends is for a reason - I think I shocked her on Tuesday as I went armed with a load of questions!!
This time we're flying from Manchester as they're better flight times this time - makes you wonder how many times our paths have crossed in Duty Free in the past! :))

Just popping in to say I hope you have a great weekend at your get together - I think I'm almost excited as you as I'm going to Morocco for a much needed holiday! It was booked in the dark, dark chemo days back in November, when I read your posts about finishing chemo - thanks to you, it gave me faith that there was light at the end of the tunnel!

Although I normally wake for a short while at night & have a quick read of the forum, I don't usually post but having read that your Gran has passed, I just had to send you a hug.
Your Gran sounded like a lovely lady, obviously very special to you, and although she won't be here for you - there will always be a place in your heart.

Trish, hello & sorry you are here too. I've only just seen your post else I would have replied earlier.
Loz - you poor thing, I hope you feel better soon. I remember when I had a chest infection at Xmas, I went in and said I don't feel well enough today for chemo - they kept me in the sick bay most of the day, sending me for chest X-rays etc, threatened to keep me in but luckily sent me home with antibiotics!! Sorry that our favourite Onc has decided you are on 8 cycles - like you say it's a bit of a shock! I'm off to see her on Tuesday for my post rads check up - don't know what to expect to be honest. Have got a long list of questions to ask (had more time to think since I've not been having treatment!)
Amanda - how are you doing? I hope all is going well for you.
When you are all feeling up to it, we'll have to meet up - I'm off to Morocco next weekend.

Hi Ladies,
This is a bit of a weird one but thought I'd check it out here before mentioning to my Onc on Tuesday.
I've been on Tamixifen for 2 months now and have noticed that despite my tropical flushes getting more intense - I seem to wake up most mornings with ice cold feet! I know it's liveable with but I'm finding it bizarre! I'm not having any problems with joints other than a little stiffness.
Has anyone else had anything similar?

Oh Nicola, I feel for you!
Virtually every cycle I had low neuts on the Friday before chemo on Monday (& that was with gcsf injections too!). I always managed to get to 1.0 by the Monday re-bleed. There is nothing I can recommend to guarantee your bloods come up, I'm afraid. A glass of Guinness may help but I'm not sure if that is just a old wive's tale or not!
I found that plenty of rest and a healthy diet helped (broccoli, kale, blueberries etc!).
