I had nipple tattoo done today on LD recon,even though area is numb i found having the tattoo a little painfull,strangely pain was under my arm pit,headache like pain-very strange,have now got dressing on,so waiting to have a proper look tomorrow when i take dressing off x

Hi ladies, Had may reduction and lift yesterday,went down to theatre at 1.15pm and back on ward 4.30pm,had one drain in,stayed over night and was discharged this morning. Lots of dressings around breast so couldnt get sports bra on that BCN adviced i needed,instead i have one of those pull on vest looking bras,seems to be holding everything in place and very comfortable. Cant get over how pert my breast now is,after years of having large breasts this is a welcome change. After having LD last july i have found this operation so much easier,i was up and mobile not long after getting back on the ward.No pain just a stinging sensation.Hope this helps all you ladies who are going for this op or thinking of going for it. x

Hi story so far, I have the same problem.I am having my reduction this thursday,i am going from a G cup to what ever size my LD recon is(hard to know).Think maybe a D Excited and nervous in equal amounts,surgeon has not said i need a bra for straight after surgery,so i am going to wait and get measured when i have healed a bit. I have always struggled to find bras with having large breasts,will be nice to have more options with smaller breasts.Good luck with your surgery x

Hi Hamley,Ditto what Rach has said.It really does get better over time!.Its still early days for you.I remember how tight it all felt.Will feel better once you can wear proper prothesis.

Hi Ladies,would love to come to next meet up seems ages since i saw you all.I have had a couple of really shitty months,Hubby got diagnosed with prostate cancer! think its been caught in time and he has just started treatment.Daughter who's 23 found a lump in her breast,thank god it was nothing but they want her to go for genetic testing.
Iam doing ok,finished Herceptin and on waiting list for LD recon some time in june.
