Hi, i had my last chemo on 28 March and i noticed it to start growing a couple of weeks ago. I don't have much yet but it lookss like a shadow on my head and it seems to be light in colour which makes it harder to see! Samlou - I have just read your post about working through chemo. I have just had FEC number 3 and I am still working. I normally have a couple of days off just after the chemo (then it is the weekend)but I do have a sit down job, just using the computer and phone. I am more tired than normal but I have coped so far. I change to Tax next time so not sure if I will still be able to work after that but I am hoping to! I have to keep working as I can't manage on SSP. I am a single mum with a mortgage to pay so I feel I don't have a choice but to work in between the rounds of chemo. But if you have a choice then listen to your body. I do find going to work makes me feel a bit more normal and I can forget about BC when I am there! Good luck with your treatment. Kay x ... View more

Hi Ladies, I was wondering if anyone else has found that their skin condition has changed while on chemo? I have just had my second FEC last week and my skin is the best it has ever been! Kellc, I have just had my second FEC and I have managed to go to work in between treatments without any problems. I have a few days of just after the chemo, then I have been to work. I work in an office so I do sit on my bum most of the time on the computer or telephone. My workmates are very considerate and have stayed clear of me if they have the sniffles! And my boss is very good and lets me have the time to pop out of blood tests and PICC line care when the appointments are in worktime! Kay ... View more

Hi ladies, Do you mind if I join you? I am 43 years old and a single mum who works. I was DX on 13 OCt 2011 with BC and had surgery on 4 Nov for WLE and ANC 10/23 nodes were positive so I had my first chemo session yesterday. FEC x3 and Tx3. So this may sound silly but I feel like I am waiting to be ill the SE! So far just a bit sick last night but that is all? Hi, I was Dx on 13 Oct 11 with BC, surgery on 4 Nov 11 WLE and ANC. Am seeing the Oncologist 5 Dec 11 for details about chemo etc. I am a 43 and a single working mum and would love to get in touch with local people. Any ideas about coping with xmas this year? I am dreading it but as I have a 12 year old, I still have to go through the motions! Please get in touch as I would love to hear from anyone in the area!
