No- I have only just had a meeting about my operation which is booked now for 25 October . They'll see me 2 weeks after for results then I'll get rads booked in. It's made me feel happier now I've got op sorted but was feeling a bit deflated about chemo finishing as its been working so well! Hi jayney Sorry that tax has been so awful with sickness . I found FEC awful and took emend - whilst I stopped being sick and no more calls to out of hours doc, it didn't take away the ill feeling or the feeling of nausea. I also have to have my op soon. I'm waiting for an appointment with the surgeon to discuss and told that it'll be 3-4 weeks after last tax (20/9). I'm really nervous too. Feeling nervous that chemo ending though, which is probably weird!!! Can't celebrate as I feel the journey has a way to go still. Good luck xx ... View more

Hi blueboo I'm still going through treatment but I'm already wondering about being in your situation and thinking about the same "stuff" as you. Do you still get the opportunity to see a BCN? Thanks for sharing that. My chemo is first for the same reason, to shrink the lump first. How was your FEC? I suffered with that - I was very sick and bad chemo head. It was better by the third once we had the drugs right! I've had 2 tax, 1 to go... Hope you are coping well and are ok xxx ... View more

thanks fiona Faye and Emma for replying to me! I hope you are all OK. These s/e's are awful aren't they and the jabs cause bone pain for me too. I am currently trying to read Jane Plant's book - don't know if there's already been discussion about her on here but it's heavy reading!! I also went to Looking Good Feeling Better a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it and meeting other people in our position face to face!   Kids back at school today so I am looking forward to rest this afternoon so I have the energy to pick them up! Thanks Sandra ! I had a high temp after tax (first round of it) and was in a&e but after all the tests sent home with antibiotics. Sounds like tax is really causing problems with a few "jewels", sorry to hear that xx ... View more

I'm Paula . I feel a bit late in joining you but I'll tell you about myself as I'm in the same position as lots of you. I've just had round 5 last Friday (had 3 FEC and that was 2nd docetaxel). I'm 40 yrs old . I have the jabs every time and gone from 5 after FEC to 7 after "t" I haven't had my op as my tumour suddenly grew lots after diagnosis so panic set in an they hurried chemo. I should have op 3-4 weeks after last chemo on 20/9. Lymphs clear so looking at lumpectomy although consultant said would do a mastectomy if I wanted. Given my age and grade (3) of tumour I am now armed with lots of questions to ask him next appointment. Were any of you faced with this "choice". Would love to know your thoughts.
