Oooh excited now there is a few replies on here! Ah the old N&N one of my chemo nurses did her training there when she first started straight from school! I too am hoping I dont get too many SEs from Rads but as long as I can stay awake for Fri and Sat and make it home thats all that matters! Hi I started Rads yesterday, feel this is now the start of the end of treatment!! Thank goodness! I was advised to use E45 twice a day, Simple shower gel and soap on the area, no deodorant and no perfume. I have already been using aqueous cream and e45 as a general moisturiser in preparation. My friend who ended up quite sore got a prescription for aqueous with menthol which she thought was crazy as it was sore but she said it worked wonderfully! Good luck everyone hope it goes smoothly. Hi   I have booked my place and really looking forward to the weekend. I am 32 diagnosed with TNBC when I was 31 last August. I had 6 x FEC a single MX and now after a delay due to a seroma I started rads yesterday. Hi All I haven't been on here in ages posting the odd boy on Facebook and them forget about on here in fact I find I can forget an awful lot at the moment stupid foggy chemo brain evened sentence it just all goes blank!! Well I'm now half way through the FEC on day 3 had a real struggle for sleep fri and sat was horrific but last night I cracked it got up today feel less energy than usual so just taking it easy. Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome!! I am doing ok, since coming on here last week myself and Mr ScottyB have come down to London to visit my eldest sis who in return for our visit is spoiling me rotten!!! Think being away this week is doing me good as I'm not just thinking about Friday and second dose time! I haven't joined the fb group yet but will definitely do so. Hope everyone is getting on best they can. Only downside of my weekend is my hair has started to fall out Friday night was first night of the moulting and it's continued since I'm glad I took the decision before chemo to cut the majority of it off so it doesn't feel as bad as if I still had my really long hair. Hi All I was diagnosed with TNBC in August and had my first chemo on 20 Sept now 'looking forward' to the second one next week! I felt ok with the first dose just not myself. I am 31 and there is no family history of cancer of any type so this is all so new to me and my family. At the moment part I struggle with is being off work and not seeing people very much so now trying to find a hobby to keep myself occupied. Hi! This is my first post on here and you have inspired me to respond. I am 31 recently diagnosed and have had to make the same fertility decision as you. I am finding it so hard to now think about things I thought wasn't part of my life and now instead of me and my husband planning a family we are planning chemotherapy treatments! I took the decision that I would not freeze any eggs as like you say to harvest the eggs they do put hormones into you, I therefore decided that I needed to get myself better and to give myself the best chance of that . As you know there are no easy decisions but my hospital team explained the options and in the end I felt I had to look after me here and now and not for something I don't have and even without cancer there are no guarantees on having children. I hope you find a way forward stay strong and be positive it's all I try and each day I find a reason why I feel blessed! It's hard but I find it can help. X ... View more
