Hi Kittycat I was originally diagnosed in 2001 with BC and it was ER positive, had mastectomy ,8 session FEC and four weeks radiotherapy. All was fine for twelve and a half years when the cancer returned to my chest wall. I had major Thorasic surgery in Feb 2014 and then in march the same year i had a brain met which was blasted with the Gamma knife, also the cancer had mutated into TNBC!!!!!!! In sept 2014 I was diagnosed with secondaries to Liver and Spine and started on Capecitabine. In November 2014 after routine brain scan I had a further brain met so once again I had Gamma knife treatment. I have regular Ct and Brain MRI scans and am on my 16th session of Capcitabine. The last scan results July this year were all fine with some reduction and further stabilty.....so long may it last.I tolerate the Cap well with only side effect being breathlessness and slight flaking on feet. The hospital give me Udderly cream for my feet . While this all may sound horrendous ( no it's not fun) I continue to have a good quality of life with my wonderful and supportive partner and family. We went to Majorca at beginning of July and we are off again in two weeks time....wahoo! Sorry for rambling on, but hope this helps. Love n hugs Suze x
