Hi everyone It's bin a while since I posted. I cannot believe it's bin a year since we all started chemo. I hope everyone is moving forward. I'm on a staged return back to work and moving forward. I saw my surgeon last week and told him I am having pains in my surgery arm. He has requested a bone scan. I now feel just as scared as being diagnosed. I have to wait for appointment and scan, ... Hi Angels I hope everyone is well. I had my first mammogram on Friday. I was so scared. I got the results then and there as I had my breast lift operation on Monday 1st September. Everything was good to go. I had breast lift on Monday but I had post op bleeding so was taken back to theatre for another operation! I've just got home today, feeling really exhausted. I was borderline on having a blood transfusion. I'm hoping to regain my strength now and start to move forward. The BC nurses did say they send the tissue off for histology . Hi Angels I haven't posted for a while. I now have a date for my breast lift (1st September) on my good side. I also have a dates for pre op assessment which is tomorrow and mammogram on Friday. I am getting anxious about the mammogram, but I guess I always will. I was contacted by the appointments office a week ago with the date etc I agreed to the date but then realised I needed the mammogram before the op, so I phoned the BC team who arranged the appointment. I thought it took a couple of weeks for the results? So I'm now wondering if they will go ahead with appointment. Hi Petal88 So far my skin looks ok as I applied aqua max cream on at least 4-5 daily. This cream was recommended from the hospital. I was told yesterday that the radio will still carry on working 2-3 weeks after finishing rads. Therefore important to carry on applying the cream. Also to keep hydrated going thru treatment. ... Hi everyone I finished chemo on the 2nd April. I still have achy hands and feet. I am due to start radiotherapy on Wednesday 13th May. Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that my arm and fingers have started to swell up. I am hoping it's not lymphadema. I now have to see my surgeon prior to my radio appointment, both are at different hospitals! The BC nurse said they may delay my radio! Hi Patel88 I woke up this morning and my mouth has nasty ulcers again. I am taking all medication prescribed. I have taken my temperature and thanks fine. Hi jemp0812 Thanks for your feedback. It's good to hear about other ladies that have had an implant following mx. Once I am through chemo I will know more about radio and my implant.
