Hi. I had really itching like hot knives 18 months after surgery but it was under armpit and down by initial scar. Spoke to breast care nurse who advise was normal and can occur 6 to 2 years after the surgery. Hope this helps a little

If your surgery does not dispense then they can write on the prescription the brand that they want you to have. It's your chose and you can insist so do what is right fir your body. I am as I said on cipla and the odd ache but that is easing as losing a bit if weight. No hair loss and if I do get aching my gave me some calcium with vit d to take when needed and in fact help keep nails strong and hair strong according to my daughter in law who is hairdresser.

I had mx with immediate diep reconstuction aug 2013. For me it was the best thing. From the outside my shape is amazing and nobody would guess I am so glad I had such a great team working on me. Even in the nude the only way that you would know is that I do not have a nipple. Of course different if you are having delayed but it was important for me to look as normal as possible from the outside even if I still hurt in my heart. I feel that I have a lot yo ge thankful for plus a free tummy tuck! Think long and hard as you may feel that you are content as you are , it is only you who can make that final decision .

I have been on letrozole since sept 13 and found the only brand that suits is cipla. Like you I found out thst are different costing that aggravate my joints.

I think everyone is different and you are the only one who knows what you can cope with. I was diagnosed last July, had mx on left side and immediate reconstruction diep on the 28th aug 2013. Come out of hospital on 12th sept and was lucky enough not to have rads or chemo just started on letrozole end of sept 2013. For me I went back to work full time 1st oct 2013. I know now that body thought was too early but for me I had to cope this way. Still working full time now although am tired and am normally in bed by nine however mentally i needed this to help me except what had happened. Take care , listen yo the experts , but listen to yourself more you will know what you want to do to allow you to cope. I think that yes is a major orator of the healing

I found the only make that does not give me these pains are cipla. The closest to the original femera and the same coating. Also ask doctor to issue calcium with vit d. Dies help. I have been on letrozole since sept 13. Mine was left side too

I to am on letrozole and have been for a year, I have had bouts of joint pain and like you on the side that had not had surgery. I have worked out that different brands do effect. I have now insisted that only brand that suits is cipla. Hope that this helps.

I was diagnosed July 2013 had surgery aug 28th 2013 mx with immediate reconstruction. I must say for me it was the best thing as I still appeared NORMAL. For me I coped better thinking I looked ok from the outside even if inside I was failing to bits. A year on I feel that I did what was right and the pain although not bad was all over and done with. Hope this helps you to make the right decision for you. Xx

I have been taking letrozole for a year now and I know how you feel. I felt like an old lady at times but thankful now settled. It started at my hips and when down to my feet . I went yo the doctors after the first couple of months to ask should I take calcium , I was convinced my bones were going brittle, she gave me Valium with with d and told me I can have two aday. I tend to tajes when aching or still. Still slightly stiff in the mornings it when sitting for a while, however if it means I am now cancer free I will carry on taking it. I gave also noticed an increase in my weight around the middle since taking it which I think does not help. Keep persevering with it , it will ease off. Hope that thus hels. Bev

I had my surgery and immediate reconstruction. I to wanted to feel me again but I was someone who always gad underwired bras. However found that by removing the wires you still get the shape and seems to work well. I have had some good comments such as they would never had know . Hope this may help.

I have been taking letrozole since sept and the side effects that I get are feeling very hot all the time especially during night. Also aches so went to doctor to see what calcium tablets she recommended I buy from health shop. She was very helpful and prescribed calcium with vit d calked calcesco. I can have two a day and they really help although I don't feel I need them everyday as they make my hair and nails grow really quick. I too think during a lot of water helps so does eating fish must be the omega 3 Hope that this helps. Bev.

Sorry been away but after all clear on mammogram for two years got ready for the family and friends boobie BBQ. It went really well last Sunday and we choose the best day if the weekend, it was my oh, our two sons and their girlfriends then seven really close friends so lovely day. My two sons always say that I dance like a PAROTT so half way thro and a few drinks later I dressed up in a full PAROTT costume which went down a storm and suddenly I felt like I was back, strange but true. My youngest son gave me a plaque from him and his brother saying " just remember you are alway loved". That's started the tears. I still enjoy reading all the posts and looking at a lot of you ladies I think that I have got away lightly and for this you have my greatest thoughts. Kind wishes and love to all have a great week. I had my first post op mammogram on Thursday. I gift a cll the next day to say all clear and no further mammograms for two years. I can not fault our health service. Many thanks to all staff at broomfield hospital in chelmsford. Even had the lady taking mammogram say it me what a great reconstruction was done would not know Sparta from missing nipple. I am on cloud nine xxxx
