Petal I experienced the same problem a few weeks after my operation, I talked to my doctor and had ultrasound. We thought it was a lump but It wasn't and it disappeared later. We always must check with doctor. I had 4 sessions of radiotherapy. My skin became a bit pink the first day. I don't know if it's normal or not but have review this Tuesday. Hi Jinny, I know about the fear of unknown but wyn is right, our medical team are looking after us. I just saw my oncologis for next step. I'm starting new treatments to reduce the risk of cancer coming back. Radio for 4 weeks Herceptin for one year Tamoxifen for five years If cancer doesn't come back for 5 years, it might not come back again. Doctors know what They are doing and how to look after us, please don't worry. I know it's easy to say.... Take care everyone xx ... View more

Hi angels 🙂 please don’t worry about surgery.  With my experience it’s the easy part.  I was in hospital for 7 days because of drain.  There was too much fluid in the drain and I had the option to go home with drain or stay in hospital till they remove it.
