Third round of FEC, 3 days before my neutrofils were 0.8 so had to have bloods done agian on monday before chemo, levels had reached 1.6 just enough to have chemo. I am having 5 injections of GCSF this time, doing them myself at home. Feeling quite vague, could this be a side effect of the injections?

Hi, will have 3rd session of FEC on monday. The nausea they will give you tablets to control that. Tiredness yes, 1st week is the worst, 2nd week is better, 3rd week is nearly back to normal. STill have early nights though. Just listen to your body and rest when you need to. My hair started falling out 12 days aftr 1st treatment and by day 19 i had the hair of a 95 year old woman so shaved the remnanat off. STill got eyebrows and eyelases at the moment! Metallic taste in the mouth for the first 10 days too. Hope this helps.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I started chemo on Dec12th and will be having 3rd FEC on Monday if bloods are okay. Have been neutropenia on first two cycles. Only just accepted that this is really happening to me and I am not just a bystander.

For the next cycle they are going to give me 5 days of GCSF and may tweet the chemo. Having bloods done agin on friday(3 days before chemo) and they will make the decision then. I am actually fit and healthy so that is in my favour.

I had my first chemo on Dec 12th, and as my lymph glands are not affected but the affected area is classed as grade 3 Ductal cancer i am hoping for a lumpectomy rather than mastectomy and then a reduction in the non affected breast. Last FEC on Monday and then 3 x T

Hi, just joined this group and have questions re Neutropnia. I had my first FEC cycle on Dec 12 having been diagnosed on Nov 20th, discovered I had neutrifil level of 0.0 on Dec 24th so was put on oral antibiotics however a raised temperature and reading of 0.0 on dec 27th dec meant a 5 day stay on IV antibiotics in hospital. Second FEC cycle on Jan 6th and GCSF injections on day 3/4/5 to stimulate bone marrow, however on Jan 17 & 20th nuetrofil reading of 0.1 so GCSf had no effect. Next cycle due Monday 27th with 5 days of GCSF. Has anybody else had the same problem and any ideas what I should do to help? I am crawling the walls as i have not been able to go out in company or go to the shops since before christmas.

I have always had long blonde hair and would never have shaved my head under normal circumstances. I considered cold capp but as a migraine sufferer i decided against it. Had first FEC 12th Dec and 12 days later on christmas eve the big fallout began. Every time itouched my head a handfull would come out, shoulders were always covered in hair. By new year my hair looke like a 95 yera old woman so i got my husband to shave of the remnants, it was strangely liberating. Now it is just wash, towel rub and i am ready, no more 30 minute drying & styling. STill have eyebrows and lashes at the moment so mascara and hats are everyday wear.

Hi , my hair fell out 2 weeks after my first FEC cycle, you cannot believe how much hair you have until it starts falling out! Ended up 7 days later with the hair of a 95 year old woman! Got my husband to shave off the remnants as it looked ridiculous. Stll have my eyebrows and eyelashes. I have a nice shaped head and neat flat ears, who would have known? I am wearing lots of hats and mascara. I considered using the cold cap but as a migraine sufferer decided against it. Cylce 3 of FEC next week.
