Hey Skinnyminx....I have read with interest all that u write. From chatting to hospital they have a meeting every Monday to discuss the Pathology Reports and decide what action if any is necessary. I will eventually receive a letter with the result. If I am called back my hubbie will come in with me. He has been to all my appointments. This has been ongoing since Sept 2013.....6 months later and I still dont know whether I have good cells or bad cells. Hopefully within next 2 weeks we should know. Thanks girls I really appreciate it. I just dont like to be too forward in asking for something no one has asked for before. Just like I have never been shown the clusters they are testing although I did ask the radiographer what they looked like and also why they instructed a biopsy. Really....they tell you nothing....hence why I ask questions. My hearing isnt great and it would help me to understand what they were testing and why. Ange1966   The waiting is defo worse but I guess some of the ladies on here will live longer as they have such tests in first place. Good luck. Let me know how ur results go. Mel I will bear in mind what you said about people dont stick around after they have received a good result. If mines is good...I will be back because my mind has been put at rest by the simplest of comments and I am learning to stay positive.....even though I find myself with tears rolling down my face when am on the bus going to work. Hey Lo-la...chin up girlie. It is a worrying time for everyone. Like u Ive been told its calcifications but they need to know if its good cells or bad cells. Like u I had 4 core biopsies....after the mammogram that followed they told me the breast had moved and they needed to do it again...so they took 8 four of which were tested. After my inconclusive result....I have a date for a second biopsy in 3 weeks time. The waiting is the worst part. Am not asking to jump the queue but girls facing what could turn out to be cancer......shouldnt have to chase the hospital for appointments.....I am worried but I feel ok. I called clinic today...its been 2 weeks still no appointment. Radiography waiting on a doc consulting with them before appointment issued. I called doc's secretary....she promised to call me.....and the waiting continues. ... View more

Thanks Whatkatiedid and MelMc68 for speaking about calcifications....my first biopsy was inconclusive and am waiting on appointment for second one. Am kinda in limbo don't want to be over-reacting since I havent had any result so far that I should be worried about....I will phone hospital on Monday as our life is pretty much on hold just now until I've been back at clinic. ... Hey TG....thanks for reply. Yip if I was u I would be concerned too. I wouldnt say what I had was a lump...more of a swelling. Turns out the biopsies I have had and awaiting appointment for second has got nothibg to do with swelling. Biopsies for calcifications which ave been told has nothing to do with the swelling which was treated with antibiotic ointment and is almost cleared up although I have been told might come back and will need to be removed in future. Hey Pippadog....thanks for ur replies. Firstly Pippadog, I am so glad u posted. I joined this Forum 2 weeks ago and so far ave felt like a bit of a fraud just because am going through tests but nothing has yet been confirmed. Not one other person has mentioned they also had calcifications...which up to December  I had never even heard of. I am with you on the result time factor. Dont get me wrong the Consultant and nurses have all been lovely but in no hurry to divulge any info. I have read up about calcifications. Were u told u had clusters? Ave been told I have 2 clusters behind my nipple and that is where they took the first biopsy. Appointment still awaited for second biopsy. If my results are benign I have no intentions of having treatment. I will just wait on mammogram I am due to get in 6 months for the "boil/cyst" which I had...hence why I found myself in breast clinic in first place. Why are u so worried about ie on valium....did u lose family to breast cancer?????  Sorry if u think I am being forward I just want to understand why ur so stressed about it especially if ur results were benign.   Take care Linda xx ...
