Hello ladies , where has the time gone ! It’s nearly March .. I know we are all moving on with our lives and don’t post very often but I think of you all ❤️ . Cassie I hope all is well with your ED and the baby - very hectic I would imagine . Rosie I hope you have managed to catch up with your family finally 🤞 . Joan how are you and your family ? Hopefully you have resumed your theatre trips . Wildpurl I hope you are enjoying life as a retiree !  Some nice news here , ES and DIL are expecting a little boy in late June , keeping everything crossed for no problems - latest scan shows all is well . we are getting used to life without Dad , my mum came out with myself and OH for a drive into Northamptonshire today for a dog walk around some woods and beautiful countryside , she hadn’t been out much since dad had died so I was surprised and pleased when she said she would come and she really enjoyed it , lots of snowdrops out too .  Hope you are all keeping well and spring is on its way !  ... Good morning ladies . Well what an awful time again with all of this uncertainty again ☹️ - Rosie I expect it’s ruined your visit from ES and family but I’m hoping they are already here or at least able to travel ? Sad news from me .. my lovely dad passed away last Tuesday , he contracted sepsis and his weak heart couldn’t fight it off so he was taken to hospital last Monday and died less than 24 hours later - of course we were unable to be with him and although the doctor telephoned us to say we were “allowed “ to visit him in his final moments we didn’t get there in time . We are all rallying around my mum and YS is home for 2weeks and ES is calling in daily to see her as are we all . I hope you are all well and can at least spend Christmas with your loved ones as I think restrictions are inevitable in the New Year ☹️ 💐 ... View more

Good evening ladies , lovely to hear from you Cassie and such good news regarding ED living next door to you , what a big help you will be to her and GS . Fingers crossed all will go smoothly for the birth.  Joan I sympathise with technology misbehaving - very frustrating !  OH is on a 3 day week at the moment - not by choice but due to supply chain issues caused by the lockdowns —all very worrying . We had YS back for a few days last weekend with his new GF , she is lovely , same age as him and American here on a 2 year placement as a lawyer , she fitted in very well and she’s spending Christmas with us ! Wildpurl I hope you are enjoying your retirement ! Lots to keep you busy though I’m sure . Rosie how are you ? Are you spending Christmas with the family ? Hopefully anyway 🤞 !  not much else going on which is a good thing really , snowing here today and very cold , not keen at all ! Evening ladies , Joan I also remember you telling us about your goddaughter - I am so very sorry to hear your sad news . sad news too regarding our friend , his cancer has sadly spread to his adrenal glands and the oncologist wanted to operate and remove the tumours but wasn’t allowed to due to covid restrictions on operations 😥 , been told to get his affairs in order because he’s been given about 9 months now , would have had at least 2 or 3  years if the surgery had been done . His teenage daughter is having counselling as she’s finding it very hard to come to terms with .   ... View more

Good morning ladies , can’t believe how quickly this month has gone ! Rosie what lovely photos and the new home for ES and family is looking very nice - they must have really appreciated all your help , it’s always sad when you return home though . So lovely you made the family holiday in wales too all of you .Joan nice too you got away to Cornwall with your family . we are going to Norfolk for a week in the middle of the month so I am looking forward to a change and to see the sea !! YS is arriving this weekend for a weeks visit too which will be nice . I feel this year the summer hadn’t been very good certainly not here in the Midlands / continual grey skies and quite cold too . I am supporting a lady in our village at the moment who is half way through chemo before surgery , she is following the same pattern as I did and is Her 2+ like me - she had her first dose of doxetacol last week and is feeling rough- she’s doing ok though . Getting up now to dog walk and it’s only just getting light - how I hate those dark mornings !  I hope you are all well and able to get out on more trips and maybe holidays ! ... View more
