thank you ladies for replying.... Ive had 2 lots of chemo my 3rd cycle on friday, 1st lot wasnt too bad but the second i felt like id been hit by a 20 ton truck... my consultant did mention doing a bone biopsy but said the area was so small and it would be very difficult they wanted to give chemo a go, hopefully i will get some answers either way!? thank you so much for replying xxxx love rose xxxx

Hi all, ive been off a while i started chemo in june its been a very up n down time.. i was intially diagnosied with breast cancer in march, i had lump removed and was then found to be in 19/19 lympth nodes i was then told from a ct scan i had bone mets in pelvis and spine and that they was not going to offer me chemo a that stage, i was then asked to come back to see consultants to be told they didnt think it was bone mets after all and they thought it was just arthritis and they wanted to confirm that with a PET scan, i then was told that the results was inconclusive and the results report states that the lesions on my spine are conclusive with bone mets a 8mm area that they are still unsure about... the treatment plan was then changed to 6 cycles of chemo, then down to 4 because they didnt think my body could take 6 i have had 2 lots out of 4... I just wondered if anybody reading this has had the same or simaliar results or uncertainty??? i feel in limbo as they are still not able to confirm either way.. will they ever be able to?? xxx love rose xxx

Hi lucinda , god we are very similar in our cancer ,bones mets ,lympthnodes etc, im glad your happy with treatment now at rm,,im at sutton too .i have total confidence in them, i think after tomo appt ,been told will get all mri and bone scan results ,then treatment will begin ,bone juice and hormone tabs, rads ,or maybe chemo,i have requested copies of all reports,coz like you said you can always read over them later. got copies of something sent to gp in which they said will dicuss at next appt chemo ,and mentioned [anthracyline] sparing regime ,given i have cardiovascular risk. think this is because i have had 2 strokes.,is this a type of chemotherapy? does anyone no.. anyway hope your getting on well with present treatment and,will post back tomo with results of appt.. best wishes ladies xxx rose

Hi dawn ,hope you get some good news when you get results on tuesday,,will keep my fingers crossed for you . i am so inspired by you 12 yrs and still going strong! though the spine bit is very scary . and Helen hope you get some answers in june ?. Hi dawnhc, i have read alot of your posts on here thank you replying.... im also at the Sutton Marsden, im there weds for my MRI and bone scan results although ive already had a call regarding my spine from my mri i had this week. Your mets sound simalar to mine (in the spine) ive got it in several place in my spine which showed up on a CT scan i had last week, its in my T3 T5 T6 T8, L2 L3 L5/S1 if you dont mind me asking what kind of treatement you having? thank you so much for replying xxxxrosexxxx

hi helen, if you dont mind me asking why have you not had a mastectomy? was it your decision or was it decided one wasnt nessasery for you!? i am ER+ & HER- i have a mastectomy booked for 4th june but im alittle confused because its already in my blood stream as to why they want to do one so quickly and some ladies as like you helen havnet had one.... im guessing my bones in my spine are my priorty at the moment xxxx rose xxxx

Thanks ladies ,think your right as iv read about cord compression ,and that can be serious so i will just accept all advice and do as im asked,and will try and relax with a glass or 2..can i ask you both if you have had any mets in spinal area ? so many questions to ask but perhaps nows not right time till all bone results back but, i see theres alot of ladies with bone mets who thank god ,have been here a few years now iv been told havent any in lung or liver ,as yet but cancer has no pattern to where it goes ,,but if its in nodes its already in bloodstream so am i right in sayin its possible to at any time ,go into a lung or my liver ? exspecially as not had mass yet and treatment /bone injections and hormone tablets not in place yet ,isnt this spine surgery going to prolong treatment starting,maybe ,i suppose what will be will be! sorry i know noone are doctors here ,just hoping any ladies have any more experiance at this stage than i do. anyway .thank ladies for replying ,and hope you are all are doing okay . loads of hugs to all . rose x

Hi thanks 2catlady, been reading all your posts on here for a while now, and it has been a great help to me. i called my sbcn to ask a question about spinal pain been having , and was told that will get a call later from onc as something seen on mri ,,was surprised as only been done yesterday at marsden. well turns out im been ref to st georges for poss emergency surgery on lower area of spine but said its arthrits in that area not mets thou thoractic area is mets ? so confused ,seeing them at marsden this wed ,hope get full facts then ,its neverending isnt it. havent had a drink for nearly 1/12 years but need i say really ,really want one. sorry rabbiting on but feel losing it a bit but holding on. thanks for all your help ladies xx rose

Thank you so much for replying ladies... i do have family support, 2 children 1. is 15 and another is 28 with a grandson which is just turning 1 years old they are great but its also nice to speak to women that are or have been threw the same. I have a appointment on wednesday 22nd to get my full bone scan and MRI results to see the extent of the spread, they offered me and should start Zometa on wednesday but as of Femara that depends on blood results as im not quiet sure if im going threw my menauplause yet, they have also said they are saving chemo as a last result... i was expecting chemo but that all changed after they said i had bone mets. Im currently under royal marsden, i know im in good hands i suppose i have to be patient they havent mentioned surgery as of yet, but i do have really bad back ache and also pains in my left arm and leg which they know about... anyway thank you all for taking the time out to message me, it really means alot xxx thanks again Rose xxxx

hi ladies, firstly i was diagnosed with invasive lobular cancer her2 negative and er+ on 27th march 2014 i had a large tumor in axila which was taken out and was mulit focal also 19 /19 postive lypmth nodes the plan was then to have chemo, rads and hermone therpy but then after a CT scan it was found that i had bone mets in T3, T4 T5 T6 T8, L2 L3 L5/S1 (pelvis) and now thats all changed. i have been offered bone juice thats all.... up to this date i have not had any treatment as of yet. I have had a bone scan, and MRI to see where else if any i have anymore cancer. i have been offered a masectomy and its been exlained to me why they recommened for me to have one but im really still unsure, its to stop it spreading but mine already has!? its not currently in my liver, lungs or kidneys which im really lucky and greatful for...... maybe i will feel different once i get my full results!? Its been a very scary time for me and my family and the waiting seems like forever, i just wondered if anyone else has been threw or going threw the same or similar as me would love to hear from you ladies Thank you xx Rose xxxx

Hi scaredbutcalm ,really hoping you get some good news today, i also had an mri this week as was dx with ilc last week and with ilc it harder to detect with mam/ ultrasound scan,mine is in under arm area of breast this was found through a biopsy. My mri was to check other breast as this form of cancer has more chance of appearing in both breasts. Fortuanately it has not shown in my other breasts. hopefully you will have your fears put to rest today ,hun but if not youll start getting answers and will get support you will need .from hospital and all the ladies here. hugs and best wishes. rose38.x

Hi tracey , thanks so much for replying so quickly. sorry to hear you have it too but very greatful for all your advice . I understand a little more now . as im at start of all this im not being told too much as will no more after MRI .[if is anywhere else] dr has said surgery will be first thing,as have large lump under arm pit think they will take that out and maybe nodes too. i will just take a day at a time and take dr advice . hopefully your doing ok in your treatment now? can i ask was yours detected early? as mine has been there a really long time ! so im convinced i have it somewhere else too, though trying not to dwell on that as il find out soon enough hopefullly . dont know what id do without this great site and all you wonderful ladies. Hi ladies ,got results yesterday ,i dont no that much at moment just im having mri scan next week wed and bk to clinic thur. Dr said will need surgery remove lump and maybe some nodes ,should have asked grade or stage ,but didnt he mentioned having hormone treatment if findings arent that bad but unsure about anything else till mri results. Am aware that this type is a little than other uncommon than other bc ,can anyone with same cancer ,fill me in onpossible treatment or experiances ,my bc nurse isnt in today so cannot ring her. thanks in advance. rose38 xx

Hi ladies , just wanted give an update on previous posts iv made. got my results yesterday at bc ive been told its Invasive lobular breast cancer, i wasnt surprised but was more upset with daughters reaction, as she came with me . Alot of tears yesterday but sunk in more now. Dr said need mri next week to see if spread and op next ,not sure of anything else as didnt ask anything ,silly i know just sat knodding to everthing. oh well. just wanna thank all you ladies on this forum for your support in past few weeks . Hi Ladies, Wanted to see if anyone has had any similar experiance to me ,had first apptment at bc yesterday,had mammo/ultrasound ,results were 2 cysts in left breast , said that wasnt a worry but i have large hard lump under left armpit which is rather fixed they did [core biopsy] . I have appt for next week at clinic see dr and maybe results . Is it possible for the lump to be cancerous but breast not be affected or showin any other symtons. i am 48 and lump has been there for roughly 1 year or more. really hoping to have any thoughts as thinking i shouldnt be celebrating yet ... thanks in advance. xxxxx rose
