Hi Mogs, I also get the numb toes and was worried about it. I'm going off my 5th treatment on Tuesday, I will be having my 5th taxotere for the breast cancer and my 5th car isolation fir the airway cancer. I'm to have 20 radio therapies in November and then in February/march the mastectomy, a year after finding the lump. Who would have thought u could keep a breast for a year after being diagnosed grade 3 with lymph node involvement. Anyway the Kung cancer was he most dangerous one. I had a very successful thoracotamy in May, it took me 5 weeks to. Get over it and off the painkillers for the chemo which started in July. It has gone well except for the first one when I ended up in hospital because my white cells had dropped to the floor and I had neutropenia septicaemia. When I went for my second one I had an allergic reaction and started to go into anaphylactic shock. So far so good though. Hope you are all talking the best care of yourselves and all good wishes to everyone about to have another cycle xx

I just want to say thankyou to everyone for your kind words and support. I will beat this bxx***&&&*676 lol. I have major wobbles. A friend of mine who had a type of leukaemia years ago said its like a runaway train that you cant get off, you just have to go where it takes you. I lost 112 pounds which is 8 stones in english, I stopped smoking in January. And Im mentally getting in my corner to start my battle. Someone on here a couple of months ago said, I will give you a year, if u give me my life. What a great thought xx

Hi Everyone. I have been following almost everything in here since I found my lump on Feb 20. My breast care nurse told me to come here. I am diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvement. They sent me for CT scan and bone scan. Bone scan was clear but CT scan showed an enlarged lymph in the mediastinum. So bronchoscopy which showed a completely unrelated cancer. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! So 2 primary cancers. One breast and one lung. My breast cancer is ER+ And hormoner receptors 8/8 So im on letrozol and it has shrunk by half. Ive just had another bronchoscopy in liverpool under a general anaesthetic and they have shaved off half the tumour. My lungs are finee it is in the bottom of the airway. They say they can cure it but its tricky operation as its cutting my airway. So my world for the last 8 weeks has been a roller coaster. My daughter is getting married in August. I dont have time for all of this rubbish, I have a weddimng to attend :))))) Huggs to all and I think you are all strong and amazing ladies xx

What a wonderful attitude. I'm still trying to get over the shock. I found my lump on 20 Feb and it came back as stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph nofde involvement. ER+ and Hormone receptors 8/8. They sent me for CT and bone scan. Bone scan was clear but CT scan showed enlarged lymph nodes in my chest. So I had to have a bronchoscopy. Well guess what, a completely different cancer. And that is where I am now, trying to get my head around that.IF IT WASNT FOR THE BREAST CANCER WE WOULD NEVER HAVE FOUND THE LUNG CANCER. So they sent me for a PET scan which showed nothing they were not expecting, as in no spread. So its very technical but they think there is an opportunity to cure BOTH cancers, which is amazing. They say both are caught early, Im on letrozole and my lump has shrunk a lot, it was about 3cm and funnily enough the 'lung cancer' is 2.5-3cm. They say its lung but my lungs are clear it is in the bottom of my windpipe. So the operation involves cutting the windpipe and bronchus and then doing a Y thing to sew them together. What freaks me out and is probably trivial is that for a week, my chin has to be sewn to my chest so my head doesnt move!!!! Im so scared but they can cure both so Im very lucky. In a few months it could have been a diff story. I have been following the posts on here since Feb and find everyone so supportive and inspirational. Love to all Mags xx
