Hi. I went through exactly the same as u back in march. My consultant was not at all sympathetic. His words were 'im 90% this lump is cancer' that was before any scans n biopsies. I am needle phobic so after the ultrasound n mammogram I left and rebooked. He told me that somebody who really has got cancer could've had my space. I felt so low no words could describe. Luckily for me my lump was non cancerous. But I can totally sympathise with how ur feeling and what ur going through. Some consultants could do with a bedside manner training course! Xx ... Hi. Im a newbie. Im having my results from a biopsy tomorrow. I was told my lump is 2.5cm. The consultant said it wasnt a cyst or a gland and is afraid it could be cancer. He wasnt the most compassionate of consultants I must admit. But what else could it be? Im sick with nerves. A friend of mine went through this few years back and advised on the ultrasound if the lump is black its more like a gland, if there was grey of white then it is something. But mine was black with a faint grey outline. So many thoughts going through my hwad. I can only think of the worst! ... View more
