Hello.. You sound a lot like me.. Always reassuring to know we're not in this alone & not going mad!! I've had three rounds of EC & started hair 14 ish days after first round. My man chopped my thick curly hair off shorter for me (I look a bit like a fugitive) & now after 3 rounds I have quite a patchy head. I started with the cold cap and ditched it because it was making me feel terrible, different for everyone. I have so far resisted the urge to shave it all off in the hope I'll retain a hairline all the way around of sorts. Like you I wanted to be prepared, so hit eBay & have a few lovely silk scarves for when out the house (although they do slide around easy), a couple of bigger cotton ones (India shop v cheap) & soft hats for at home. Also have a wig however I haven't worn it yet, it makes my head sore. I like having it there as a safety thing. Hello ladies Feeling urgh still. Third chemo was a week ago & seems to be taking longer each time to recover. Cleaned my kitchen floor today & thought I was going to faint/throw up afterwards, had to have a lie down! Just can't shift the sick associated feeling, as in thinking about chemo makes me want to throw up. Easier said than done not thinking about it when I've got no energy! This is so hard. Hi.. i joined the gym on a summer 6 week fixed term no contract membership thing after my surgery. I have a very active job & have changed to working from home soooo I had all this energy that I wasnt burning and sitting around when used to running around. I decided that I'd join for 6 weeks just to cover the first 2 cycles of chemo and then see how I felt. I go and do 45 minute sessions every other day (ish) and feel very pleased with myself when i have. Just gentle cardio; bike, cross trainer & tread mill. It also gets me out the house/my time. I did wear a very attractive head band today to absorb the sweat rather than it going in my hair, as to not have to wash my hair after gym like I normally would. Hello ladies. I am just over two weeks into first round of chemo & my hair is falling out!!!!! Big shock & lots of tears this week. I wore the cold cap so did not expect/prepare for hair loss. I am trying to be positive that it all won't fall out (long thick & curly) and all that one day it will return to its former state. It is hard though, I know I don't have to say that to you lot! Has anyone found any ph neutral shampoo? It is recommended and I can't bear the thought of washing my hair again after the amount that came out this morning. xx ... View more

Hi Cath Hope you're doing ok.. Have you got an appointment for your results yet? I've not been on for a few days, trying to just forget & not be consumed by this rollercoaster. I've had my results & great news no further surgery needed. Seeing oncologist on Thursday so hopefully more info & dates re treatment starting. Big relief & feel very lucky. Also keen to keep the ball rolling so to speak & get started with treatment. The chemo bit is what I'm dreading at the moment - it just so unknown. Hi.. Am new on forum Was having a meltdown, brain fried, emotional & tired. At hosp today BCN told me about Forum. Feel like it's saved my day & such a relief to find ladies in same situation. I'm triple negative grade 2, had WLE & Sentinal node & waiting results. I know it'll be chemo & radiotherapy. I don't know what to expect. I've used all my willpower to stay clear of google.
