I was also one of those stressing over starting tamoxifen. After six months I feel reasonably ok. I've put on around 5/6lbs which I'm really struggling to shift but in the grand scheme of things I'm one of the lucky ones. I did have a blip when I was given a different brand (relonchem) which I had an allergic reaction to the coating, my pharmacy are really understanding and now keep my regular brand aside for me

I have an appt in the breast clinic this Friday. Keep telling myself it's all fine but nervous just the same. Haven't told anybody I have an appt as I want to just go on my own without a fuss this time

I had 2 lumps removed last august. G2 and G1 IDC followed by radiotherapy and tamoxifen. Have recently noticed a small pea like lump in the same breast. I know it's probably just scar tissue but worried it could be something more.

My claim wAs settled within 4 weeks of first phone call. I sent a copy of my diagnosis letter with the form which clearly stated invasive Cancer. Hope you get paid out soon. Keep us posted

Yesterday I went for a routine eye test only to be diagnosed with a cataract in my left eye. Apparently this is highly unusual in somebody of my age - 53. I am to be tested for diabetes to rule that out but have been told it could be as a result of radiation exposure, I completed 15 plus 5 top up sessions in November. Am feeling very emotional today, getting through all my treatment was tough and I only went back to work this week. Has anybody any experience of this, dreading losing my sight and having to go through surgery ( which I understand is done whilst you are still awake!) :-((

I don't have itchyness but feel pain from armpit to nipple area and nipple and breast feel swollen. I have noticed it happens after over use of my right arm hoovering etc.

I had two invasive grade two lumps removed end august and finished radiotherapy in November. All seemed to be going well but this past week I have experienced an ache in my breast. It is more uncomfortable than sharp pain and I feel protective of that area especially if somebody hugs me. Is this normal so long after surgery?

Any diagnosis indicating invasive cancer will be covered no matter how small. I called my insurance company gave details over the phone and then signed a very simple form. The money was in my account within three weeks a and I am now mortgage free!! I was amazed it was so simple. Good luck, but don't delay in that first call I believe there is a fairly short time scale from the date of diagnosis so be sure to tell them the date invasive cancer was diagnosed.

Two masses were picked up on my routine mammogram. One lump was definite idc grade 2, but I was told the smaller was DCIS. After biopsy I was told smaller lump was definitely not cancerous however during surgery it was found to be idc grade1 after all.. I am now very wary.

Yes. It's only after surgery that final diagnoses is possible. You should have no problem mine was only confirmed as idc after surgery. I was paid out just 3 weeks from original phone call

So long as your diagnosis states "invasive" then you should be covered no matter what size the lump is. I was originally diagnosed with DCIS 3mm and idc 9mm. Following surgery it changed to idc 3mm and 20mm. My insurance company paid out immediately. You need to ensure you use the words invasive when calling your insurance company. Good luck

I finished last Friday. I was told to avoid perfumed lotions, shower gels for a month to allow skin to heal. I noticed today that my nipple has crusted up and started peeling yuk very unattractive!

I finished rads last week 15 plus 5 boosters. I got through treatment relatively unscathed but now I have been floored by a bug (flu) ?? Normally I would be struggling on through this sort of illness and I have certainly coped with worse since diagnosis last summer, but wondered if the radiotherapy could have affected my immune system - I guess 4 weeks travelling on public transport and in hospital waiting areas could have picked up all sorts
