Steroids were causing so much pain and have done damage so Onc said I could go without.  Feeling a bit better this afternoon although no energy at all.  Would rather have 2 days being sick than the pain from the steroids. Nicki - get to the doctor and he'll get you the treatment you need  You def need some help there - it seems to be engulfing you and has taken over. I haven't been there as all I can think about is bl**dy indigestion pain! In the wide awake club again!  Why is it 4am seems to be the witching hour for those on chemo??  I managed to toss and turn till 5:30 but just gave up and got up for tea and toast. Dogs just looked at me and went back to bed so they're in the sound asleep club! Thank you all for the kind comments re father-in-law.   I had a call from the heart scan team wanting to do a scan on the 22nd Dec.  Told her absolutely not as that was my low week and wasn't coming into a hospital full of sick people.  She was a bit stroppy about it but once she realised I was serious and wouldn't be pushed on it she put it back to 8th Jan.   Just yawned and eyes heavy so going to try and get some more sleep......catch up laters. Hi everyone.  Isn't it strange how we are now talking about getting lines out and RADS? Well I just wanted to shout and rage on about BEEP BEEP INDIGESTION.  The pain is awful and it's day 14 - I should be getting better............wail! Got gelclair for my mouth from the hospital - wow does that work if you have mouth ulcers. On another subject my old father in law died today at the ripe old age of 94.  What a wonderful life and dignified death he had.  He passed peacefully away in his own bed surrounded by the two people he loved most in life, his wife and daughter.  He woke up just once to have a last cuddle with them - how sweet is that? Evening all.  I have the return of the dreaded 'runs' and todays 'extra' little treat is ulcers on the roof of my mouth. I haven't really thought about after treatment.  I just can't wait to go on holiday and do normal things.  I want to wake up with out indigestion, sore joints, mouth etc etc etc.  Maybe I should give it soe thought? Woo Hoo she shouts, clapping her hand in delight.  Great last verse Mel.  The best one I reckon. I pleased to report the said 'runs' have departed and Fairy I can sypathise with the piles.  I forgot I even had them it's been so long...........  Still left with fat sore lip and gut rot that would fell a rhino at a thousand paces. FEC is a really nasty chemo or maybe it's because we are so much weaker when we get to 4th chemo. Mel - I'm sure someone mentioned that the 1st tax is the dose that really does the business to your cells so a reduced dose shouldn't make any difference to the outcome.  I'm tempted to see if they will reduce the dose of FEC to see if it will help my guts or what is left of them. Andrea you are so lucky coming up to your last chemo and I wish you the best for minimum SE's.  It can't happen quick enough for me.  I'm so fed up with this garbage. Morning girls,  beautiful day here and I slept.  Gut rot manageable and still on BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) for the old rear end runs.......sorry if you're eating reading this but at least you'll know what to eat if it happens to you.  By the way it works!  Even getting to take Lucozde which unfortuately I can't taste! Poor hubby is doing the sick runs this week, me for presciptions, Mum for docs and dog to vet.  Feel quite sorrry for him well a little weeney bit sorry for him! Aw Mel don't worry about not posting.  The first tax is the worst (there's a song there, somewhere) - it completely floored me with SE's.  My temp was low too, always around 35.3 - 35.9.  I kept getting the shivers and even with FEC sometimes I can't warm up.  Get yourself one of those fleecey onesies but get it with a zip.  I got buttons and when your tummy gets upset it become a huge race to unbutton...get my drift!!!  I have long johns and woollen socks that had cotton liners.  I look drop dead gorgeous with my bald head. I really hope you start to feel better soon.  Have you got a heat pad for your back as that really help me with the pain?   I rememer the song 'The first cut is the deepest'.  We could make up our own words?  Or am I being a prat?  Feel free to comment - I'm not easily bruised. Eileen - I'm going to go onto Letrozole daily.  I read that it can cause osteoporosis but I'm not at the stage of talking to the Onc about calcium etc.  Good to know that.  I've added you to the list.  Like you, I just can't believe how tired I am.  My legs are aching and it's like walking in tar.  Spent the day resting as you can't do anything else.  You think you can push through it but you can't so no point in fighting it.
