I did a similar thing when a mole changed shape and colour while I was having radiotherapy. To be fair everyone was fabulous. From the nurse who referred me to the consultant who did a biopsy but I did feel silly when it all came back okay. I felt like I'd over reacted too. I think it's to be expected and to be honest for every little twinge or ache that I am mentioning to my husband, I'm having others in between that I'm not telling him about. I think we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves. We've had a life changing experience. Whether it is 10 years later or 2 weeks later. I think having you lovely lot on here is a huge help because you can instantly see that it's normal and someone somewhere knows exactly how you feel. I wish you well now and always x

Thank you Jo. I think you're right. I was so determined and positive throughout my treatment which is why these feelings have taken me by surprise and are confusing me. I have so much to be grateful for and I am. Two of my close friends have lost their husbands. One suddenly and the other to cancer so I feel as though I can't tell them how I'm feeling. My own family are just so happy that all is well again they can't understand why I wouldn't be happy now. It certainly is a roller coaster of emotions. X

I was diagnosed last September and had a small lump removed from my left breast. The first op missed the tumour so 6 weeks later I had to return. The second op successfully removed the cancer and I then had 15 rounds of rad. I took 2 months off from teaching job then returned to work full time. I threw myself in to work and had very little time to dwell on things. I was originally prescribed letrozole but I changed to tamoxifen about a month ago. I feel so lethargic and "down" now I have broken up for the summer. Then I feel guilty for feeling like this when I have been so lucky to catch the cancer early etc. could it be the tamoxifen making me feel this way. I feel that life is passing me by and I should be making the most of it. I'm 50 next year and want to just get on with living. I just don't seem to be able to motivate myself and without warning I find myself getting tearful. Will this pass?

I know every persons diagnosis is different and personal to them but so many more people beat cancer these days. I have also been diagnosed with grade 2 invasive cancer in my left breast and I am 48. I am waiting to hear if it's spread to the nodes but I consider myself as lucky to have discovered it so quickly and I feel I will beat this no matter what. My auntie had breast cancer 15 yrs ago and she survived it and is still going strong. I have been making my own fruit juices and have continued to exercise and work up to the surgery. I am now waiting for my results of the lumpectomy. Be honest about how you are feeling with at least one other person and chat to your breast care nurse too. Stay strong and I hope your journey is a positive one...

Hi! I was recently diagnosed with grade 2 cancer in my left breast. At the time of my original biopsy a clip was placed as a sort of x marks the spot. I had the tracer injection the day before my op which was a little more uncomfortable than I had expected (as nothing had been painful so far). On the morning of surgery I had a guide wire inserted! This wasn't overly successful as the Dr wasn't 100% sure he was in the right place as the clip had gone! After my op to remove the lump and a node my surgeon informed me she wasn't sure she was in the right place exactly as the wire guide had moved and there was no clip in either sample of tissue that she took!! I now have to wait two weeks to find out if she's been successful at removing the cancer or not! If not I will be having it all done again! But my question is this? If the clip has disappeared to the point that it now cannot be located on a scan, where has it gone? Has this happened to anyone else?
