  Hi. What was your original surgery ?    Mine WLE / SNB back in Nov 2014. I am on FEC T chemo, got 2nd one on Friday. I started on the T part first for some reason. 1 out of 1 SN was slightly positive hence chemo. Oestrogen positive. HER2 negative. Axillary clearance to follow. The radio after that and Tamoxifen.    I havent come across many, just one other, that had T first. I dont understand why I need axillary clearance other then to be100% certain but I thought the chemo would have seen to that. Hi. Am on Day 10 post chemo cycle 1 Docetexel/ Taxotere. Have had a couple of side effects but managed them. Nothing too bad. Muscle aches and twitches days 4 to 8/9. Took paracetemol and were bearable. Bad tongue. Felt like it was burnt. Bad taste. Some things like tea tasted aweful. All manageable for this first cycle but hear it gets worse. Hope you ok.     ... Hi. Awaiting is the worst part.   Initial mammagram 6.10.2014. recalled 20.10.2014. then seen 29.10.2014 - told I had breast cancer. Booked me in for surgery. Told immediately date. 12.11.2014. Went in for surgery.WLE and SNB Then called back for results 28.11.2014. Unfortunately it was in sentinel node. they only removed the one node. Told chemo recommended. Next appt. Was  10 or so days later. Pre chemo 22.12.2014. Booked in for this Friday.   I stll feel I am lucky ad it was picked up early via screening. Everything seems to be done quickly . Hi. Apologies but I havent logged onto this site for a while.  Yes, all went ok apart from 30 mins delay. Was just sat around waiting. Seemed like forever. Pre chemo meeting was just with one nurse. She went through all the side effects and to be honest I didnt really wish to hear them again, onc was very thorough. She had a job to do.  I was there some time.At least a couple of hours. I was originally told its 30 mins but you get an hour in case you have questions.    Saw the Paxman, cold cap units. Tried on cap.    Start first session  2.1. 2015.   Hope all is ok with you.  X ... Hi. I logged off for a few days.  Thanks for replying. You are the only one that has had T first that I am aware of, on this site. I have had my WLE and so small tunour was removed. Only one node was removed for SNB and it was positive, hence chemo. I start on Friday.    As you say, we are all different.  Different with each consultant eh.     Thanks for all the great advice. Hiya. I havent started my chemo yet but know that I am getting piriton and steroids -as I have tendency for allergies, with my chemo treatment. Starting T on 2.1.2014 for 3 sessions (then FEC) . Good Luck. x   ... View more

I totally get that.   I too didnt and still dont feel ill. I only had the painkillers they gave me at the hospital.   I took them, when I came home, just one at night,, cos I thought it would help me sleep. But it didnt.  I took them for about 5-6 days.   My partner was with me for a few days. You do need a bit of help.   I have been taking it easy - just doing what I need to do, resting inbetween.  Walked a lot.   It is difficult resting.   Got pre chemo meeting tomorrow. Hi Everyone seems get the FEC first. I was told starting with the T. I have my pre chemo appt tomorrow so will find out why tomorrow.
