Has anyone suffered with what I can only describe as something like a frozen shoulder. I am 6months post rads and never had this problem before. My GP told me to take paracetamol and ibuprofen and gave me excersises to do for arthritis! I can't lift my arm above my head and its the side i had my treatment on. Is this normal?

Hi L , I Know what you mean about having a bad memory. I'm on tamoxifen and blame this for my bad memory. Last week i left my iron on all night in the spare room and only realised when i went in there the next morning, and smelled a funny smell. When I realised it was the iron, the handle had burned . So lucky, could've set the house on fire!!!!

Hi nel, I am on the 3rd week of rads and started the boosters today. Its taking me ages to actually get to sleep, and I normally don't have a problem with sleep, but I'm wide awake sometimes at 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning. I have to watch tv with the subtitles on so I don't disturb my husband, either that or I sleep in the spare room! You're not on your own Nel. We'll get there in the end. Take care xx

Having had a lumpectomy 3 weeks ago and 4 nodes removed, and getting my results for the margins being clear I've felt pretty good. Getting some feeling back under my arm and scars are healing nicely, no soreness and no pain. Have an appointment for planning and marking for radiotherapy, feeling really positive, until today. Had some news that my blood test revealed that I am not post menopausal and won't be able to take letrozole, but will be taking tamoxifen. After reading about the side effects of both these therapies and what they can cause , I feel really down now. I feel for the next 5 years or more, I could be suffering from pain in the joints, possible DVT, increased risk of endometrial cancer and the list goes on. Its hard at the moment because I feel so well, and I don't cherish the prospect of developing other illnesses, bit hard to accept. I have been so positive since being diagnosed in October, but I am really scared now.

Hi what the hell, like you , I feel like well I have to get on with things, can't control what's happening and just deal with things. Its three weeks since my lumpectomy, and hoping to start radiotherapy soon, dont feel ill and don't feel like I've had cancer! I've been very positive and just got on with things, and I've felt is this normal to react this way! I suppose everyone deals with things differently and it does help to be positive, so don't worry about the way you're feeling, you deal with it in a way that's right for you. Thanks Brewster for replying. I'm not finding the surgery painful more uncomfortable than anything, feels like a lump under the arm , there isn't just feels like it. Hope your recovery goes well xx

I had a lumpectomy 1 week ago and 2 lymph nodes removed. I have a dull ache in my arm pit. Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this?
