Hello there all Francine I to had to make a decision aout the other side to 'even' it up even tghough I had an impant. Because of my reactions to op and endless infections in the scar I decided no. Then again I can see your point about being very uneven. Is it possible that some of the shoulder pain is becuase the muscles are no longer supporting a 'weight'? Sorry I should have posted before I had really good news - all clear no sign of anything sordid. The bone scan did show bad arthritis and have to get a referral for that but have put it off for now.   My consultant said not many people would celebrate being told they have arthritis  #It was a great black cloud lifted form us all -  still celebrating really - all mixed up with christmas   Hope you have all have a good Christmas and a healthy New year   Berylxx @13gerbera wrote: Hi Beryl,   I've been thinking about you, any news? Oh dear Francine It comes down to what I always think - we know our bodies and when they are not quite right. So pleased your new medical team from GP onwards were on the ball and listened to you.   I wish you well. Hi there Ladies I hope today went well, thought of you and at the V&A as well. Hiya Checked in as I have been sulking because I can't make the meet. If you plan another one great I'll be there but I also don't do Facebook so who knows.   Wedding ring problem has been solved., We visited The Jewelry Quarter in Birmingham with the aim of buying a chain. After visiting a couple of shops the one saud it was too good a ring to not wear and they have stretched it. If anything at present it is loose but fingers are up and down so.... I am not wearing it all the time especially not when gardening - I do a lot of it, and when I go to bed as that is often when my fingers swell up.   Will be here to wish you all well cloder to the meet   beryl x ... Hiya   s***, S**t, Sh*T   Thanks for message replied that I was coming, thought oooh best check calender. It seems that is the day we are trudging up to Manchester Airport to collect daughter and husband from their 'honeumoon'   I am actually gutted, and very pleased I havn't booked the ticket. It was the next thing I was going to do after lookin in on here.   How is everyone? I don't use Facebook so it is hard to keep in touch. I have sent my email address to Rosemary butI don't know whether it will go through. I had a check up a couple of weeks ago. I have a mild lymphodema. Come my daughters wedding I tried to put my en gagement ring on and couldn't get it past the first knuckle, then the hand and fingers began to 'balloon'. With many tears and yells, a lot of cream hand soap and ice cold water etc OH and i managed to get wedding ring off. So it is now in a box, fingers and hands have returned to whatever 'normal' is with these side effects. I also get a very achey under arm (almost like a headache feeling there!) Anyway consultant has agreed I should remain on Arimadex (expensive) as it seems to be the only drug that prodices fewer side effects in me. I noticed some one else moaning about side effects - First I went to GP (many times) then he decided to put me onto Arimadex. Who ever it was  you really needd to seek medical assistance!! It's down to your quality of life I saw consultant as they were talking about referring me to oncologist but it is no longer necessary because the Arimadex is OK   Anyway will stay in touch   Beryl xx ... Oooh - not checked in here for ages - life keeps gettiing in way but a meet up sounds great if it's possible for me to tag along as well. A long chatty lunch sounds great. Bit unsure of finding my way around London by myself , will give it a go though! Looks as if I have some reading back to do!!   Showed my cancer war wound to a friend today - first time - guess I'm well over it all now. I am so much better since I have been on different medication - the fog has gone - YAY     Daughters wedding in 2 weeks - stress levels are sky high at present - good thing we don't live in the same house!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Folks A meet up sounds good but I can't help b ut think that it would be too expensive for me . Last trip to london on the train was 'ouch' on the bank account.   Last week I had an accident, nothing much but the excruciating pain took me to A&E and the Breast care team. Why - I tripped on a very uneven drain cover and fell flat, full on onto my foob. Instant extreme pain and that side is still  not working properly, no driving etc. I was in Birmingham with my daughter attempting to buy an outfit for her wedding. Did have success there but my tumble meant I couldn't get the shoes/ bag etc. Today I have found the shoes, bag still to be found. Hooray!!   The volunteer work sounds really good, quite envious of keeping busy that way. Hope all ther problems are over. Did I tell you all since I have been on Arimidix most of my pains and deterioration have stopped, however I think my hands are beyond improvement. Hi All Sharon, I'm on 6 month check ups, next one due in August, I did have a ate but it has been cancelled.   Ladies I must tell you about my consultant. He has raised agreat deal of money in all sorts of ways and there is now a seperate breast care unit at the hospital. The aim is that once you are referred yoyu go there in the morning and spend the day having tests. By the end of the day you know what is what and if treatment is needed It saves the awful walking around a hospital in a state of shock trying to find places and having to wait a week before the next set of results are out. Apparently it is the first in the country, possibly inEurope   Me I have been busy with wedding stuff, I have now trialled the 3 different cakes for the tiers. The biggest problem is what am I going to wear - everyone else is kitted out but I just can't find the right dress. Some of it i think is to do with body image!! I am also growing the fowers and the house is full of seedlings, just hope they don't die on me when I put them in the ground Antway gardening is a great way of getting rid of stresse. Just an after word - Airimidex is working well, I feel much better, my brain isn't fuzzy. I think the damage has been done to my fingers but I have very little pain in joints or hands now. Doc said it was very expensive but it is now on my notes that I cannot be taken off it unless I have a doctor consultation first. He said it's all about my quality of life - Hooray - he listened ... I have had difficuty getting Teva brand as well - anastrozole.-The chemists were 'difficult' about it. I was down to 2 tablets and in the end had a telephone consultation with my GP as i was unwilling to try another brand (having enough side-effects anyway) Sympathetic GP has given me a trial brand to see how I go, the month is nearly up and seems Ok, so will hve a chat with hom and hope to stay on the new one ...
