Hello lovely ladies and the new ladies Ive not met yet Thought Id catch up with you all,as Ive been off here for weeks it feels like....my mum has been here since chemo number 3 fec,so not had chance to chat to you all.have read some of your threads and I hope you are all okay and coping.Was so happy to hear your results of the MRI were good Sandie,bet you were so worried,bless you.X Natalie,can understand how you feel with the panic/heart racing,as I get that normally before I started chemo and had it again my last blood test,as they couldnt get a vein and I got very panicky...did my breathing exercises though and it helped a bit.Im learning Meditation,it may help?X Becky,hows your breast?have you found out why it was swollen?X So glad youve done so well with the cold cap Dennymac ..good on you for keeping it going X I may have missed some of you ladies out and I apologise,Ive got a little bit behind on how you are all doing. Im on chemo number 4 Thursday,first T,so hoping that goes okay.I had a picc line put in 2 weeks ago as had so many probs with my veins and they got so hard and sore,so the doc said I need to have a line put in.Its been okay up until this morning,when I had a swollen hand and arm,so called chemo line and they told me to go in....had a blood test and no infection,so now got to inject myself in my tummy with blood thinners just in case I have a small clot,will have a scan on Tuesday,as no radiologists in today,being a bank holiday.All fun and games eh?!...Will be so glad when all of this is over and get back to some sort of normality again Hugs lovelies,take care and love to you all.xxxx ... Hey Lankylass Thankyou showing us your diary..its very helpful and I do one too,so I know what to expect after each session....sometimes they are slightly different,but its good to know and especially the good days,so you can plan ahead and do nice things Did you expect it to feel like this,or worse?I think in my head it wouldnt be so bad some days,but think its the fatigue and chemo brain i didnt expect. Hey Simone Hope it all goes well for your this week with your appointments....I still have my period after 2nd chemo,but didnt have the injection you had.Im sure your oncologist will be able to put your mind at rest and explain that. Hey Bev Im not sure about the low  neutrophils,but think you have to get it boosted with injections?Have you spoken to the chemo dept?You could also have a chat on other threads on here,if you search for info you need. its not a silly question that you asked about the cold cap lovely,but think you have to do it from the beginning...but your hair will start growing back very soon,some ladies say it grows back after 3rd/4th chemo? good luck Thursday,Ive got my 3rd fec thursday too...fingers crossed ours goes okay Hugs Rachelxx ... Hey Lynda sorry youve been feeling so low lovely.....this is normal and at some point all of us feel like this,I know this doesnt help,but so you know your not alone.Some ladies go to their doctors for mild anti depressents,as I think you cannot take some natural products(would have to check with your onc),or my BC nurse referred me to a phycologist that the NHS supply for people going through chemo,its worth asking?Are you getting enough sleep?As that can make a difference.I find gentle exercise and fresh air lifts my mood a bit. Hi Alison 😊 Glad you had a lovely day with your daughterX When my sister used clippers on my hair,it left it a bit fuzzy,but got a rash and was sore,so been using tea tree cream to heal it,so I can properley shave it smooth.ive got a little tuft of hair at the top,that didn't fall out! 😆 Isn't it great to be half way through by the end of next week. Hey Simone 😊 Think your the same as me.,yes 1 more FEC then 3 x Docetaxel....I think with that one they make you more achy and tired,great eh?!Thats what other ladies say,so shall wait and see. I'm signed off until June too...my boss wants me better so would rather me be off than struggle to go into work on my good days...but drives me crazy too!Im so used to keeping busy and more time at home,the more I eat!Do you have any hobbies? I do alot of walking,gentle exercise and been having a good clear out in the house...guess can call it Spring cleaning 😊 Take care?hugs Rachel xx ... View more

Hey Glad shes much better,kids are amzing how they just bounce back! Good your feeling okay and anti biotics working...im on them too for my sore arm,after my 2nd chemo the veins in my arm got very sore and swollen,but apart from the soreness,the swelling has gone thank goodness! Hello Lankylass,welcome to our lovely group of ladies You sound like youve been through it a bit already...its all so much isnt it,feels like your life is taken over by it!I had a masectomy too,but not skin sparing,so hoping to get reconstruction at the end of the year,depending how my treatment goes.You have the same chemo plan as me,except for the Herceptin,as Im triple neg.Glad the first wasnt too much of a nightmare for you,its usually days 3-7 I feel the worst,but yes fatigue is constant I think.
