I have a little stock photography and crafts business online. Luckily the photography bit is passive income as I sell through an online agency. The crafts bit involves knitting and again luckily that can be done sitting down. I tried to knit a few days after my mastectomy but could hardly focus on the stitches without becoming nauseated so lord knows how I'm going to cope during chemo.   I am thinking long and hard about changing the business to entirely passive income.   How anyone who is on their feet all day long copes is beyond me. Thanks Lottie63. I didn't know that about the over 4 thing. I've been reading other uplifting posts about ladies who have come through after high node involvement. I think I got chemo because it has spread to my lymph node. To be honest I was a bit like you I didn't take it all in. Just waiting to hear in which order it will be chemo or surgery first.   That is one great daughter you have, you must be very proud of her.   Linda xx ... View more

Had the MRI this morning An amazing machine and a wonderful radiographer, a total credit to her profession. At one point where they attach a cod liver oil capsule to each nipple I did wonder if I was being set up for candid camera, but apparently the machine can use it as a marker. No problems with being in such a small space, in fact i may take up potholing and if I have to have the left breast removed I could probably navigate left hand bends with comparative ease   Thank you ladies for the advice re finance, that is very kind of you. Hi Beryl,   Sorry to hear you had a sad weepy time but glad help was there for you. What is the Haven?   Do you know I never even thought about pillow arrangements, that's something I'll have to add to my notes (fast becoming an epic tome). Hi Sarah, i'm chasing you around this forum. That takes an amazing strength of character to go through such a long period before treatment and here am i wingeing over a week's delay. just such a shock to the system as i've never had to cope with hospitals all my life apart from my tonsils out when i was a kid and a cyst removed about 10 years ago. Thanks Sarah and Gazzlyn,   That does help. As i posted on the other thread a few mins ago no treatment plan tomorrow, instead an MRI scan and (hopefully) the treatment plan at the end of next week. I spoke to the BCN on the phone and she is leaving me out some info at the Breast Screen Reception desk on how to get financial assistance. So i will pick that up tomorrow before the scan.   It's just that you think that you have used up all your positivity to get to results day and then you find you have to stretch it a bit further and then a bit further after that. Hi Loubyloo   I was told Monday that it was Grade 2 Ductal with a spread to my lymph node. No treatment plan as yet as they hadn't had their MDT meeting, so I go back tomorrow at 10.10am to get the treatment plan. I do know it will be surgery and 6 x chemo sessions but i don't yet know the order. I read someone's experiences of chemo recently and where I was OK before at the thought of it I am now absolutely terrified. I have no idea how I am going to cope with it on my own plus the expense of all those taxi fares to and from hospital is going to break me financially (on a low income at the mo).   Rosie xxxxx     ... Sharon,   At least you are through it and at home with your family now. The felt tip pen thing would have had me off the trolley and running screaming down the corridor! As mentioned before when you go back request to see your original surgeon and make sure they know and record in your notes the reason why you do not want to see the surgeon who performed the op (include a description of the felt tip pen incident).
