Hello Skinny friends Sorry your Christmas got spoilt stresshead I was throwing up christmas morning but it did not spoil my Christmas dinner thankfully but I could not eat my usual amount and I did have the pudding too but tea time was a no-no why spoil it by trying to push more down. Hello skinny friends Sorry I have been quiet I have not felt too well and I have switched off for a while although i have tried to keep up with your posts on different threads. Stresshead I do hope your itching has stopped and sorry to hear about your new suspicious patch. I am sorry I didn't send you a pm I am always concerned about you lets hope the medical team do help to sort your problems out. I went for my Denosumab jab this week and the nurse was concerned about my wbc's dropping and wanted me to give the hospital a ring if my breathing got worse and if I should start with dizzy spells.It is christmas on Sunday and no way do i want to be in the hospital anyway I see the onc in 2 weeks time. My MS is progressing a little so that doesn't help either, walking is getting worse but I keep trying not to let it win. I do have aides to keep me going. Well although we will be at home most of the season we are at our son's at Wetherby on Christmas day so that is something to look forward to and we will join the others in France via the computer. Dear Jan I do hope you didn't fall for it if it was genuine why knock on doors and why is there no publicity about it in the papers and television. I think I would be very aware of this. Glad you are feeling much better Jan have they given you an alternitive to the zomorph I have used oramorph for really bad pain last week and it did ease it and it was gone in 3 days. Wishing you all the best love and (((hugs))) Hi to my other skinny friends stresshead since I have not been putting a dressing on my ulcer and mets they seem alot better. I wear a vest and let it take the mess but I am getting very little blood stains none last night. The skin mets else where don't look good a little red and more swollen I wonder if it is because I have come off chemo. I keep wanting to ask how do you keep your dressings in place I use tubifast but now I feel as though allowing air to get to the sores is more help. It was so sad to hear Smartie lost her fight I do hope our other friends get in touch. Love and ((((hugs)))) xxx

Hello Jan Wow you have been through it haven't you what was the little pill they gave you? I am glad you are now feeling better it gets scary when we get different things happening with our bodies. People don't realise the trauma it can cause when you know you have multi mets in bones organs and like us skin you think "oh no not something else" Anyway pleased for you that you are now ok. She was a careing member of the forum for many years and was there to give good advise to many.I do hope she was not in pain at the end. Hello skinny friends and others Daisy I am so sorry you have lost that necklace which meant so much to you as I can understand because of the involvement with your Mother. Life seems to be so unfair at times and also on your birthday holiday I wonder if it will be handed in. Wishing you some success Smartie, Tournesol and Sharon I do hope you are still reading our thread it would be nice to hear from you I do hope you are all ok. Janice you are also in our hearts and I hope you are getting some quality time on your journey without treatments I am going through a funny time with my mets different ones keep breaking leaving a little blood but then I cannot see where it has come from. I have decided to leave the dressing off just relying on my cotton vest and letting what is oozing to out collect on the vest. The ulcer has started to heal and is not oozing same with the other met that broke down so I will have to see what happens might be wishfull thinking its only been 2 days. Hi Nicky it was me and welcome to Helen I really do not know if it was the Faslodex but the pain was bad it was like a band around the bottom of the back and lower stomach and groin. I took some oramorph which helped to kill the pain and within 4 days it went. I will be getting my second injection next week so it will be interesting to see what happens. But I have read that massaging the injection area does help so I will be doing that. Love and (((hugs))) xxx

Dear stresshead I am so pleased to hear your scan was clear from what you thought it was. I know how you feel although you have been given a logical answer to your lumps in the neck but as we all feel there is always that doubt. I get it when I know my spine is covered with mets from top to bottom also I think I have a skin met on my head So it is a good idea to request the neck is included with the CT scan. Sending you ((((hugs)))) Dear Waffles Lovely to hear from you I am sorry cape stopped working for you after you were coping so well. My first scan on cape showed a reduction in the tumour so it was such a surprise when it increased to lungs and liver in such a short time. My feet were pretty good on cape but since I finished my feet are always peeling. I do hope your new tablet is working for you I was offered it but chose Paclitaxel instead which now has stopped. This new drug is a hormone drug which is used for recepter ER+ yes this drug is a jab in both cheeks of the bum. That was bad enough but the pain I felt later was quite worring in the back and groin especially as I now have mets in the liver. It lasted a few days but has now gone thank goodness I too thought could it be that the juice attacking it but I think it was wishful thinking but I have had that pain before which led me to having a MRI for the spine. Thank you ladies for cheering me up wasn't it fun when the men danced the gay gordens with us I really enjoyed that. I am rubbish at ballroom dancing but love strickly so one two three together does not work for me Carolyn and sticking my fingers out I would end up poking someone in the eye. xxx

Hi Carolyn The sore bum I can tolerate but it's the pains in my right leg groin and lower back I have taken Oramorph which has helped ( I have had it in the cupboard a few months but never needed it) but the pains stop me from moving around properly and I hate that my bones are hurting too so it worries me. The more I think about the change over to this new drug without proper consultation makes me feel I have been thrown on the scrap heap. I have not slept for the last 4 nights so I know this will get me down too. But I will put a brave face on it and as I always say "I'm fine" love and ((((hugs)))) xxx
