Hi thanks for the tip re the coconut oil, I do have short hair anyway so im used to a quick flick for styling, usually short blow dry but will pat dry for the time being. My hairdresser was very sympatheic obviously when I told him & he did say he does have ladies he has dealt with who either lost or partially lost hair so I'll be in touch with him soon! We have a big party (my moms 90th!) coming up in 4 weeks so just wanted to be looking more normal for that. Thanks again take care Jan

Thanks for your reply, I was anticipating trying to get a colour on before I went back to work in a few months time, very grey at the moment so looking a bit 'washed out' to say the least. Feel lucky though compared to some ladies. Having a mobile hairdresser come in in a few weeks time as not confident enough to step in to a salon just yet! Thanks again Jan

Hi, I have just had my last treatment & had used the 'cold cap' during all of my courses of chemo so was lucky enough not to lose my hair, having said that it has thinned & obviously is out of condition. A nurse looking after me yesterday suggested I can get it cut now, (I had a shorter style to begin with) & said this will help the new hair growing, I usually have a colour on as well but know this won't be happening for a good few months yet! Has anyone else experienced this & can offer any advice? thanks
