I have to be honest I thined a fair bit and got fed up finding hair everywhere but still have full head of hair which I can still style I also still have eyebrows and lashes. Have used cold cap 3 times whilst on FEC but also put it down to juicing every day - good old spinach !!!

Hi I have today used the cap 3 times and although it painful in the fact it very very cold it has worked !!! My biggest worry was losing my hair, it has thinned a bit didn't realise had so much hair but have still got a full head of hair no patches at all. Also some how also have eyebrows and lashes??? Definitely worth doing though x

Hope the op went well and u weren't in for too long. I had mine 30 dec and was adamant wanted to be home for new year and was. Make sure you keep up with the pain relief and defo the exercises, I have full movement back now all down to the exercises. All the best

I was told had to wait for recon due to any break down the treatment may cause. Straight away knew was having chemo and radio even before they took out all lymph nodes on that side. Just finished last FEC treatment before comment TDM1 and herceptin at least no more cold cap now yipee and kept must of my hair!!!

Hi I am used to having shellac on my nails and checked if ok to continue - it was and have to be honest my nails are stronger than ever. Have continued to have them painted as and when needed and it had been a lovely treat every few weeks.

Hi I also have used cold cap every time 3rd FEC this week and am so glad I did. Although quite painful and have lost a fair bit of hair and had it cut to a shooter length no one would know what I was going through - so would definitely recommend. No have seen my nurses today and discussed colouring as have some grey coming through she suggested maybe a henna or colour with no ammonia in and that could be any time really, she said no real guidelines out there. The thought of losing my hair terrified me and would definitely recommend the cold cap hard going but worth it!! 😄😄

It appears to be very different depending where you live I had masectomy not allowed reconstruction yet due to have chemo then radio been told got to wait till finished all treatment!!

I am 2nd week after 1st round of fec starting to feel but normal now but got to be honest it was dreadful I had lots of side effects which really got me down. Hopefully nurses know all about and round 2 will be easier. Xx

Yeah I agree all positive thinking although can be tough when you feel so rubbish!! Day 7 today and starting to feel a bit normal ready to start gearing up for next session. Good idea to take tabs prior to cold cap will defo do that next time. I getting on the juicing the next week now.

Well 1st fec yesterday and cold cap in !! Flipping painful but kept it on all through out. Got lots of sickness meds get me through hopefully first day. Any one experience yucky side effects 1st round ??

Well got through yesterday and the cold cap ouch it hurt especially first 10 mins. Felt quite sick today but plenty of meds to take throughout the day. Also just has injection for white blood cells or something???
