Hi had my wig fitted just before my first chemo which was yesterday. They bring quick a few wigs with them for you to try. I have choice one that is almost identical to my own colour and hair style.

Hi all Had my first chemo today one down five to go. Just to let those of you who will be having there first chemo. I was very anxious but the chemo nurce was brilliant I asked a lot of questions. Came home have had toast whent to bed just to relax for a hour got up had a chocolate bar. I don't like water that much but I am doing what they advised so keep on drinking.

Hi all Thank you all for your help. I will have six months full pay then another 6 months hafe pay. My job involves dealing with drivers about between 80 to 100 on a daily basis in close contact. I did mention before that I would like to go back to work after the operation but was told it would go against me on my sickness file. Was also in a redudency situation after my operation and when I mentioned to them in my one to one that I was covered under the disability act they was surprised about this . Cutting a long story short I am not being made redundant and would love to go back to work but my friends have said just to be carefull and not go back till I am ready. I will see how I feel after the first or second chemo

Hi all will be having my first chemo tomorrow. I have been of work for 10 weeks. It was mentioned to me today at work they have found out if I am up to it I could go into work on hours that will suit me probably the second week on a part time bacis and it would not go against my sickness record on file. has anyone else coped with chemo and gone to work and woutd I need the oncologist to authorise this.

Hi all I could not have my first chemo last month due there being a problem with my eco scan. Seen the oncologist yesterday and he said my ecg was ok so will start chemo on the 20th march. It has been terrible this last two weeks waiting.

Went for my chemo check on the 27feb found there was a problem with my eco scan so they cancelled my first chemo. I have also had a ecg now will be seeing my oncologist this Friday 13th. Has anyone had there chemo changed I was having FEC. My main concern is that I am her2 positive and will not be able to have hesptin

Hi I was the same as you mine was just over twelve years ago. Worked hard never had time of work for sickness was diagnosed December 2014 christmas eve opp January 7th had my results stage 1 grade 3 and hers2 positive . I have asked the question was I hers2 back in 2002 they said I was not probably tested . I don't know how you feel but having it come back a second time is much worse after so many years.. good news is was also put in a redudency situation in feb have been told today that they will be keeping my job open for me.

Hi all I will be starting fec on friday don't know what to expect have had my long hair today cut realy short. I have got lymphedema in my right arm due to having breast cancer in 2002 I am concerned were they eill put the drip as I have had three lymph nodes taken out my left arm. Can they just give you a injection in the stomach

I had breast cancer over twelve years ago. Only had radiotherapy and tamoxifen. My daughter who was 20 at the time needed therapy. I was diagnosed again on xmas eve 2015 stage 1 grade 3 due to being Hers2 positive clear margins my daughter has coped really well this time and supporting me. . Two weeks after my op had a phone call from my area manager to tell me I was in a redudency again I have worked for the company for 18 YEARS this as caued me a lot of stess having chemo on the 27feb which is the day three years ago I lost my big sister and only sister I am not sleeping waking up at about 5 in the morning
