It all sounds very unbelievable doesn't it !!? I'm apaulled at the experience I've had to be honest it's quite shocking . I received a call this morning from the breast clinic stating that my results are in and sorry I appear to have been overlooked 😳 this was because the BNC was on holiday and said they couldn't tell me my results over the phone but would get the BNC to draft up a letter and forward on to me ... Again they obviously don't know about the results being faxed through . I'd like to think when the letter arrives there will be a follow up appointment attached even if it's in 6 mths to keep an eye on it ... Won't hold my breath !!! Jan xx ... View more

Hi Beck , I've got a lump & thickened nodes , biopsy came back normal but I still have pain and itching . What is Epo? I've not been given any answers as to what else it could be so I've no idea if it's hormonal although I am on HRT . On the day of assessment she asked how I would like to be informed of the results , I said by phone, that way I thought I wouldn't be reading too much into a "you need to come back" letter. Or stressing whilst in the waiting room with a follow up appointment . But after my 2week wait I phoned them only to find that my BCN was on holiday and no one could give my results over the phone so I asked my doctors to request they fax the results to them . I then went to collect the fax from the receptionist . I haven't even discussed the results with my GP I only know what B1 means as I googled it !!! I've got a copy of my biopsy results and it says B1 normal , thank god !!!! Ive still not had any discussion with any medical person as regards monitoring this . Nor any answers as to why the lump is there along with thickened lymph nodes at the area . I'm going to make a appointment with my GP to discuss my concerns with then and my HRT . I'm disgusted with our local breast clinic as they have not contacted me regards theses results I had to beg my GP to request a fax so I could get my results . Surely there should be some sort of process for even for those with a good result , I've been through the mill these last two weeks and a range of thoughts & emotions , who is giving me information or reassurance .. No one !! It's terrible , we've had a turmatic time, mini surgical procedures, the waiting ... And yet I feel left high and dry without any answers as what to do now .. Xx ... View more

Feeling confused ... I rang the hospital this morning , the oncologists secretary said my results were in but she wasn't authorised to give me them , she said the lead nurse who would deal with them was on holiday, and she would get the oncologist to ring me this afternoon. I immediately rang my docs and asked if they could request the results to be faxed over to quicken the process . She said she would and get a doc to call me this afternoon ... I've spent all day stressing , no call from the oncologist .. My docs rang at 6.30pm , a locum doctor , has no knowledge of my recent appointments at the breast clinic , asked me what I'd had done there and just said the biopsy looks normal .... I asked all 3 biopsys?she said she didn't know and I should wait for the hospital to contact me !!! I asked again for reassurance and she said just says normal !! I don't want to sound ungrateful but did she know what she was talking about ?? I have a lump and thickening axillery nodes ?? Is that normal ?? I asked if there was any follow up will I need more checks , she couldn't say . My other breast isn't the same so I'd say that one was normal !!! I can feel my left breast isn't right ,it's painful , it feels hard at the side near the armpit , lower down from that at 2 o'clock there's a lump ... Is that it ? Will I not need more tests , investigation ? What if it is cancer .. Why have I got something going on with my body which is classed as normal ??? Hi ladies I got my appointment through for the breast clinic a few days after going to the GP and it was for the same week . Had a mammogram , ultra sound and core biopsys on the same day , not had my results yet 😞 day 11 .. I'm hoping the call is Monday . I can't stop feeling my boob or googling 😳 xx ... View more

Hhhmmmm makes you wonder June , I'm considering coming off mine, I'm sure I'm repeating myself here (earlier post poss) I've been on it 4 years after full hyst , I'm 45 now , when I first started it they messed around with the dose and I was at one point on 80mg 😳 massive dose I got huge full sore boobs I'm already a 28FF (I'm tiny , 4'10 size 6) but they grew !! I couldn't stand the pain , after googling it was too much estrogen .. I asked the doc if I could lower the dose as I wasn't happy , they said keep trying they will settle down !! I gave it 3 months then changed. I've been happy with what I've been on , no symptoms . But now with this looming over me I'm rethinking .. Steph I rang on Thursday they said they didn't have any results on the screen to discuss .. On Tuesdays it's a full 2 weeks surely It can't be any longer , my expectations were a week as stated by the nurse .. But maybe 2 is the norm xx ... View more

Hi Kate .. No words will stop you from worrying but your not alone , this site has been a great help to me , lots of experience and knowledge to be shared . I've just had my first breast check and was only expecting a feel and a few leaflets , I had 2 mammograms , ultra sound and 3 biopsys , the radiographer said I had a mass and thickening nodes . I've been waiting 10 days and still no results . It's hard waiting but whatever the outcome I will deal with it , and so will you with the love and support for everyone around you xx Jan ... Hi ladies .. No results yet day 10 😞 I went to the docs today to get some results for routine cholesterol etc .. While I was there she asked how my mammogram app went .. When I told her I had 3 biopsys and had thickening lymph nodes she grimaced !!!! "Don't hold back doc" !!! That instilled confidence lol xx ... View more

Just had a call from my docs .. I panicked !! Got myself ready for the conversation .. They want me in tomorrow morning , bloods done Tuesday .. . Hi June , me to I didn't wait a week either , my first time in a breast clinic . First I saw an assessment nurse who talked me through the procedure .. First a little grope (examination) then a little squeeze (Mammogram) then a little massage (ultrasound) it's a bit like a date ... Your only unlucky if you end up with a little prick (biopsy) !!!! All the nurses and radiographer where lovely , very kind and professional . Unfortunately for me I ended up with 3 biopsys of my left baby , I'm waiting on my results .. Although it's very stressful I'm so glad I went ... If it's bad news thank god I went and didn't leave it too late .. If it's good news thank god I went as I will certainly be more breast aware for sure !!! Xx ... View more

Awww Janie it's very surreal isn't it !! I wish I'd had a confirmed date for my results , they just said to me about a week .. It's been 8 days and counting !! I'm on tender hooks waiting for the phone to ring .. I too have the resigned myself to the results , that way if it's not it's a massive plus !!! I'm on HRT and considering coming off , if this is just a scare I don't want to go though this again and hrt is a risk xx ... View more

I'm just waiting on biopsy results . I went to the docs as my boobs felt generally sore and heavy , with a constant stabbing pain in my left . A week ago at my breast check I had 2 mamos , ultra sound and 3 core biopsy of my left breast . I have thickening nodes 2 areas of concern . I've convinced myself it's not good news as my breasts feel different especially my left . I have a similar feeling in the right but they said my right was clear .
