Hi Niki, if your looking to have some complementary therapies either before or through your treatments there is a place in Basingstoke called the Pink Place www.thepinkplace.org.uk which offers free massages/beauty treatment/manicures on a Monday for ladies who are being affected by cancer. They also do wigs, went in with friend and tried a few on today, though after trying one on and looking like Liam Gallagher out of Oasis I gave up and will rock the bald look instead, plenty of hats and scarves to choose from. Hi ladies, I totally understand how you are all feeling if your waiting for your biopsy results. I have to say those 2 weeks waiting in limbo were the worst. I got my results on Monday and it was confirmed that I have IDC and will have a year of treatments. The weird thing is I feel so much better since I know what I'm dealing with. I think it's the not knowing which is the hardest, I was really anxious and kept crying but since I've been diagnosed I've shed no tears and have had to pass the tissues to friends and family. Hi Niki, can't see where I can pm message you, only just got on this site last night so still working my way around, are you able to pm me? I live about 10 miles out of Basingstoke. I know what you mean about sleeping, I'm out like a light when I got to bed but waking up about 5am every morning, ready to put the brave face on for everyone (have 2 teenagers that aren't really aware what's going on). Hi La-La, I'm new to this site and noticed that you had a list of questions that you had for the consultant on your results day. Im going for my results on Monday (also at Basingstoke after 2 week wait) so wondered if you could give me some ideas of what to ask. I have a feeling that if I don't go prepared my head will just go to mush if the results aren't good as they have already told me they are concerned by what they have found (5cm mass/lump with enlarged nodes in the armpit).
