Aw I'm sure it wouldn't put a damper on it but I can understand that you don't want to worry them. I'm ok with waiting now as I've already had my ultrasound which revealed nothing worrying, my big lump is muscle so my next appointment is to discuss if it is a problem. The worrying before my ultrasound was awful, I couldn't think about anything else. I was lucky enough to get a good result, I hope you do too X

Thank you SusieS, my scan went well. The large lump is infact muscle so I'm not 100% sure if anything has to be done about it yet but I'm very relieved! It's a shame that you have to wait so long for these appointments but definitely best to get checked. Good luck to you all xxx

Im going to see if it comes in the post tomorrow if not I'll give them a ring. I wasn't half as nervous before my breast clinic appointment on Monday as I kept telling myself most lumps are not cancerous but after that appointment with the consultant being quite concerned and saying I needed an urgent scan and now the waiting for the appointment all the worry is building up. Trying to keep positive, it's so good to have somewhere like this where you can vent all your worries. Thanks ladies xx

My postmans been today and still no letter, I'm so close to breaking down in tears the waiting is awful! Any idea how long I should wait for an urgent scan bearing in mind I've already seen consultant at Breast clinic? x

He didn't say why he just said they were unable to do any further testing today but that I needed an urgent appointment. My appointment wasn't until 4.15pm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Hoping to get appointment letter in the post today! I think most people get further tests done on the day of their first breast clinic appointment, hopefully this will be the same for you x

I wish you all the best. I was the same as you very anxious about my breast clinic appointment but at the same time eager to finally find out what this lump is. I went to my appointment on Monday where the doctor felt my lump and was quite concerned about it so said I needed an urgent scan and probably a biopsy, he then went on to say I will receive the letter in the post for the appointment. I was so disappointed as I was expecting any investigating to be done on the day as the letter stated so I'm now back to worrying again waiting for my appointment especially as he used the term urgent. I thought I would just mention it incase the same thing happens to you, I really hope not though! Im 25 X

I would get a 2nd opinion, it's better to know exactly what it is which they can find out at the breast clinic. I found a huge lump between my breast & armpit, my doctor referred me to the breast clinic where I seen a consultant who has booked me in for an urgent scan. I'm only 25 so glad they are still taking it seriously. Keep seeing your GP until they investigate it properly, it's no fun worrying.

Hi I hope you got some answers at your appointment as I find waiting is the worst. I'm 25 and noticed a large lump between my breast & armpit which feels just like a chicken breast under the skin! My doctor referred me to the breast clinic, I had my appointment within a week which was on Monday. The consultant was conserned as it is such a large lump and he said it's quite unusual so he said I need an urgent ultrasound and probably a biopsy. I thought brilliant in going to find out what it is and I can stop worrying. But then he explained how they couldn't do any further tests today so I would receive a letter in the post for my urgent scan. I wasn't half as worried before this appointment but now he's said its urgent I'm nervously waiting for my letter for the scan, I just want some answers.
