Glad the Voltarol worked for you. Sadly made no difference to me but we are all different and some things work better than others on people, hence my suggestion. The uddermint will not suit all, but the farming crowd will appreciate its possible benefits. It’s always worth telling people what products have helped you but you only need to read Amazon reviews of products to see how different our experiences are. For those who don’t fancy trying that, or the expense, try Biofreeze gel . I use that when not in an enclosed space! . That works better than Volterol for me.   ... View more

I'm beginning year 3 on Letrozole and have developed an ugly reaction to most foods that I used to eat. It's not so much the taste as it is smell. Cannot tolerate most meat being cooked in kitchen now and have to go outside while hubby cooks. I'm an old retired RN who has done a ton of research over the decades and have not ever had an issue such as what I'm dealing with. Hello,  I'm new to the forum but not that new to Letrozole, having now been on it almost three months.  I am taking ACCORD brand, which is what my local 'Boots' stock and have promised to keep me on.  Background info, I had BC diagnosed in late February this year, HER2 negative and SNB was also negative, which meant no chemo and no radiotherapy either, as I had a mastectomy with implant 3rd April, unfortunately a bleed and clots meant it had to be completely re-done on 4th April, 30 hours later.  Recovery slow to begin with but I got going pretty fast once drains were finally out.  I've had experience with blood cancers (daughter had a long illness with Lymphoma) and I learnt that Claritin (generic name is Loratidine) can help with bone and joint pain, so put myself onto it. Hence I think the pains with Letrozole are not too bad.  I've had a bit of hair thinning but as my hair is very thick it's not noticeable.  Check up at 3 months is on 17th of this month, astonishing it's that long already!  ... Hello ladies have been reading this thread although of course it was written by you all a while ago. I am awaiting a mastectomy and diep flap reconstruction at the moment for DCIS. Hopefully only treatment but of course I don't know. Despite having a happy family life I am by nature a person who suffers with low self esteem from time to time. I am already feeling many elements of the feelings you describe. My husband is irritated with me because he strongly feels I should be making the most of socialising prior to my Op but all I want to do is stay at home with my cats. Work is an effort and I can't deal with people's kindness anymore than I could deal with them being dismissive to what I am facing. I have to believe I will get back to something like normal. You all have my total understanding of what you are feeling or have felt before during and after treatment. I was wondering, especially as this post is older, how all you ladies are coping now.
