Hi ladies last day tomorrow. and final rads. Lost it today though I must say I've been trying to keep it together but the tears just poured. I was laying there thinking about my poor mum who died in 1997 from cancer. She would have been devastated to see tjat her youngest son died less than a year ago aged 52 of heart attack. Hi ladies sorry I haven't been on here lately. What with cording' seroma, swollen hand. I'm half way through rads session 8 today. Whoever said this was the easy part is bonkers. Alergy to E45. Hi ladies special thoughts to my brother in Germany tomorrow who is having his second lung operated on after cancer spread to his lungs and liver after bowel cancer. Im missing my boob at the moment. Hi Suzi I'm pleased to say we have a brand new radiotherapy unit at Colchester so I'm really lucky its on my doorstep. Bit of bad news today at the physio I have cording and it looks like I'm getting lymphodemia.Also ladies how are your nails Mine are disgusting. Brown thickened yuk xx ... View more

Hi ladies still here Seroma gone, finally got my dates for radiotherapy 14th April 15 sessions.  Have an appointment with physio on Wednesday re cording and possible slight lymphodemia.  Feel as though I'm turning a corner but may being too optomistic.  You all sound very tired after rads.  I would love to go swimming but don't suppose that's aloud xxx ... Hi all. Wow Suzy my hubby jokingly said I look like skunk. Aren't men funny. Went to see the onc yesterday first time since chemo. She said they were surprised as tumour looked as though it was shrinking but came out bigger. She said they may have underestimate d original size. Or is that another name for chemo didnt work? Still in pIn with Seroma and chest wall. Bit surprised at healing time with the mx im sure my hysterectomy was quicker. Got to talking about future with onc she was asking if I was going for reconstruction as I am so obviously lop sided. I said to her no i just want the other off. One because they failed to find my tumour on routine mammogram last April and too because of my lopsidedness. To my amazement she agreed. We will see. Hi ladies hope your all doing ok. Been a bit quiet since my op On the 3rd February as ive had one continuous cold. Still got the old Seroma and there refusing to drain it. It's driving me nuts Have an oncology appointment tomorrow to discuss radiotherapy which apparently will happen in about three weeks. If my seromas gone by then. Chelle have you got cording. Hi ladies feeling sorry for myself Seroma, cold aching like I'm still on Chemo.  Rang the breast care nurse different one answered.  Told me that they don't like draining seroma and that would only do it if I was in pain and everybody's pain threshold is different.  Says the Breast Care Nurse who has never had a Seroma.  I'm not actually in pain as such, just feel as everything is going to burst open.  My hysterectomy was not as bad as this.  Hi Sue I'm the one from Colchester I also suffered from shortness of breath xx ... Hi ladies I live in Colchester Essex happy to travel.  Just got back from Derbyshire where it was snowing.  Did a couple of 5 mile walks and while my husbands pace is quite quick I was like the tortoise.  I had my Seroma drained last Monday and everything went completely flat.  But soon started to fill up again.  However and don't tell my consultant I slipped over on one of my walks. The dog pulled me over in a muddy field and I landed on my mastectomy side.  Luckily it didn't hurt thank goodness for softies.  But the fluid in my Seroma disappeared, its filling up again now.  All I can say is after this trip away and my fall I feel a lot more confident about going out and about.  I think you loose it after what we have all been through.  Sorry to hear about the drains Chelle I hated those, still in the Seroma club Suzy and waiting for rads.  My consultant said he won't drain mine again.  That's what he thinks.  Glad your doing well with your rads Bibi and Ange.  I think I have to go on the same tablets that your on Bibi.  Just to say I did have a bit of a cry in the toilet block on our campsite.  It was empty and I had caught a site of this bald women, about three stone heavier than she was before steroids and a round moon face and I thought my god what a wreck.  I suppose feeling sorry for myself.   I can still feel my nipple too Suzy weird.   Lots of love to all the ladies on this forum.  Catch you later xxx       ...
